Embrace your best bitch self

Well Bitches I am happy to report that this week is looking quite nice! There is an energy building of optimism and this is a great week to really focus on your longer term goals, what you want your life to look like, and really do the work to move your toward your calling, your destiny, and your dreams.

It's a good week for communications and feeling positive. Even though Mercury is retrograde, the aspects it makes create opportunities to express our deeply held thoughts and beliefs, even if only to ourselves (which is the most important person in that conversation!) You may feel more open to new ideas, advice, or guidance toward changes than you normally do.

There are a couple of transits that are a little more harsh than the rest, but those also are pushing you to be your best self. Saturn sextile Chiron really wants you to heal something so that you can pass Go and advance toward your best self. Mercury square Mars does have the potential to create a disagreement if you don’t watch yourself. Eris comes in to give you confidence, even though she may be a smidge too aggressive, it is time for you to stand up for what you deserve.

But the best part of this week is The New Moon in Aquarius. This is a very empowering moon which encourages independence, uniqueness of self expression, and the inspiration to pursue your dreams. In rocky relationships, this could lead to some distance. But well established partnerships will benefit from this lunation. New moons are a great time for setting intentions and planting new seeds or starting new projects. Shoot for the moon and dream big...If its something that you really feel in your heart, you’re supported in your quest, no matter how weird.

And of course, on Sunday...Happy Valentine’s Day, the most dreaded of all the holidays. Love it or hate it, embrace it or ignore it...it’s up to you. The colors of V-day are great for supporting a connection between your root chakra (red) and your heart chakra (pink), giving you a feeling of stability and self confidence, and the desire to truly love yourself. At the very least, give yourself a day of self compassion for whatever you’re going through or have gone through. Be as gentle with yourself as you would with a very young child who needed some TLC. Or better yet, harness this for healing your wounds around acceptance and rejection.

Speaking of rejection, I’ve included asteroid lilith in this week’s Scopes. I will do a show on BitchSplaining soon to talk about the Dark Triple Goddess. She’s pretty complicated, so for now and to keep it brief: Lilith represents what we sacrifice for our independence, grief about hard choices, our rebellion, and our exile for standing up for ourselves. ARIES - It is time to let some of your guard down in regards to making new friends and connections. Those defenses have served you well, but you are safe now to deconstruct some of those walls. TAURUS - There’s some chaotic energy around your career. It could be that a change is coming, if it hasn’t already. It is a positive change, even though this transition may give you some anxiety. If you feel less than qualified to deal with whatever challenge is in front of you right now, be reassured that you have everything you need to kick ass. You are more ready than you think you are! GEMINI - Let your mind undergo the shift and transformation that is trying to happen. Your beliefs may shift, as well as what you really want from life. Venusian Dreams - BitchScopes for 2/1-2/8

Sorry for the absence of BitchScopes last week. But the bitch is back and just in time to save you from yourself, because this week could be a bit tense. Relationships could experience some friction, and not the pleasurable kind. Generally, most people will be in their ego and focused on their own feelings. So it isn’t a good time to ask your partner for something, to have a difficult conversation, or to ask your boss for a raise. Just try to have a quiet week. Next week should be quite a bit lighter, even with Mercury retrograde.

It’s also a pretty Venusian week. Give yourself a facial, work on your budget, organize your collection of $2 bills, find some art to browse online (hopefully museums will open soon!), take a hot bath, get a massage, write some love letters... you get the idea. Get your Venus on!

VIRGO - the law of cause and effect will be in full effect for you this week. So if you’ve been waiting for an outcome about something, it could show up this week. If it seems harsh or unfair, just remember that what goes up must come down, and other cliches about physics. Take this outcome, regardless if it’s hood or bad, and know that this annoying chapter is ending with this. Onward and upward.

LIBRA - keep your expectations in check in this cosmic weather. You may have already experienced the trickery of Mercury. If and when it shows up for you, don’t let overwhelm or discouragement take over. Setbacks and glitches in your plans will be temporary and surmountable. Check your work this week.

Despite Mercury retrograde you may feel pretty confident, abd that’s good. Just be aware of over doing it as a means of either coping or celebrating. Good financial planning will literally pay off in the coming weeks and months.  

CAPRICORN - stay light on your feet, as the path may change right under you. Try not to be too attached to how things go this week, because your plans are likely to fluctuate. The old adage about one door closing and another blah blah blah holds very true this week. So if you encounter some “no”s this week, shake it off and keep moving.

AQUARIUS - the help you need will show up, if not this week, then very soon. This could come in the form of advice, which Aquarians tend to loathe. Take what is offered because it is likely to benefit you. You have the green light to proceed with plans that are either already in motion, and even new ones (no other sign has that message this week!)

PISCES - your best bet this week is to organize and sort through information and possibilities. You may need to make a decision that you feel unprepared for. The answer to the question involves some kind of sacrifice, but it will be worth it. Have faith!

BitchScopes for January 18th - 25th

 

All eyes are on Washington DC this week, and the inauguration of Biden as President #46. Multiple security threats are afoot and this will be an inauguration that is different than any other in history. At the time I’m writing this, we don’t really know what that will look like.

But certainly this changing of the guard, regardless of the ceremony that swears him in, represents a big change and deep breath for not just the U.S., but for all of US. I truly believe we have reasons to feel optimistic!

Just for funzies, I looked at the numerology. Biden’s life path number is 11. (So were Reagan, Clinton, and Obama.) He is called to diplomacy and leadership. One could argue that all presidents are called to those things. However, for contrast: Trump is a 4, which at the very least carries a lot of responsibility for stability. But it also came from “31” (the numbers in his birthdate added up), which is a number of Karmic Debt. His inauguration day 1/20/2017 was also a 4/13/ karmic debt number. In a case like Trumps, he is “supposed” to bring balance to his Karmic bank account, but he obviously fell into his South Node, and his need to *always* be right. He has definitely let his shadow drive the bus. 2021 is a 5 year, a year of change (which seems obvious for so many reasons). Inauguration Day is an “8”, the number of harmony and balance, as well as achievement and success. Trump as #45 was a “9” (an end), Biden as #46 is a 1, or new beginning. (Kamala is a “5”, and boy does she ever represent change, within a 5 year no less!)

Astrologically there is plenty of enthusiasm available to us in the transits. For as much fear as there is brewing, January 20th will also give at least 50% of the country, and much of the world a breath of optimism and relief. The first part of the week, while full of nervous tension, contains a lot of motivational energy, and just enough dreaminess to have us feeling inspired. Inspiration and leadership are things we have been missing for at least 4 years, and it is right that we feel inspired at this time. Anger can sometimes be great rocket fuel. Obviously we’ve recently seen anger taken way past the point of productivity and well into the destructive nature that we fear about anger. But if we take this bucket of crap we’ve been dealing with and use it to fertilize our garden or fuel our jetpack, we’re in business!

To my readers who may be really disheartened in our system, or who believe that this election was stolen, or who really sincerely fear for what a Biden presidency will do to your life, I offer you this: Change is inevitable. Balance is the goal of everything in existence. When the pendulum swings far to one side, it will also swing far to the other side. Our government and our country are certainly not perfect, and while we might think the reasons for that are vastly different, at our core as individuals, we all just want to succeed and have happiness. We need not trample our team mates in order to ensure our own high score. Let everyone be in the race, and let them all start at the same line. If you really fear you will lose, ask yourself if you are actually being set back, or if you’re just being placed at the starting line. Are you losing, or are you losing your head start?

At the end of the week and into the last week of January, we do have the potential for illusion and a little paranoia. As a collective we have a long road ahead before we feel OK again. As individuals, our job is to stay grounded and help each other. There may be a bit of chaos, but don’t let the loud voices throw you off. Stay focused. Put your oxygen mask on and then assist those around you.

This can also activate the South Node and stir up a situation where we have to look at things differently, often a gift we possess.

1/23 Sun conjunct Saturn - Very strong transit which can encourage you to stand up and be counted. Hard work & discipline are emphasized. Additional responsibilities can show up, but this can also be a time of satisfaction, achievement, recognition, etc.

1/24 Mercury sextile Eris - your mind may be working overtime to sabotage you. Slow down and lighten up. Get other people’s negative voices out of your head.


ARIES - Don’t let any negativity keep you from getting up and going after what you want. Even if no one is going after the same thing as you and they call you “crazy”. Maybe you’re calling yourself crazy. Maybe you ARE crazy. Guess what? We all are...come on in, the water is fine! The major side effect of having a flesh suit is craziness. Take your energy and use it in a way that feels good to YOU. And don’t let anyone talk you out of your dreams.

TAURUS - You may have recently experienced a set back, or a rejection of some kind.It might be financial, or it might be more personal than that. Whatever the case, you’re being urged to not let the bastards get you down! Whether you literally create some kind of art, or you use the anger to fuel your jet pack, you can really utilize the difficult things you’re navigating to get ahead. CANCER - Locate where you are carrying guilt, and in the words of some great sage: let that shit go! You can not attemp to feel whole or loved or effective if you’re carrying around guilt. “The mind of guilt is full of scorpions” (Shakespeare). Whatever this thing is, you either did your best, or you made a bad decision. Either way, forgive yourself and move on.

LEO - If I say “you’re obsessed”, what immediately comes to mind? Its time to let that thing go and fully release yourself from it. In (Brothers Grimm) Cinderella, the step sisters were so obsessed with marrying the Prince that when the shoe didn’t fit, they mutilated their own feet to force it to happen. Girl, put down the knife and either go shopping or go barefoot! Let this issue go, because you deserve better.

VIRGO - You may be experiencing unfairness or unbalance in a relationship. But if you make that relationship or that person the villain of your life, that makes you the victim. And if you remain in that energy, you’re missing the point. You may not be responsible for how you got fucked up, but you are responsible for unfucking yourself. I know you’re flipping me off right now and that’s ok. Love you anyway.

LIBRA - Be alert and aware this week. If you work, be on the lookout for new people on the work scene. Smooth talkers should raise some red flags for you. If this person seems very interested about you and your story, don’t give much information. I feel there is a narcissist circling your airport, and this only serves to help you practice your boundaries. You can be your usual charming self and not give a thing away.

SCORPIO - You are right on the threshold of a breakthrough or a jackpot of some kind. If you are questioning or being told you’re too picky, you’re not! Your keen ability to see deep into a person or situation gives you a huge advantage. Don’t question your gut. Keep pushing for what you want and don’t settle.

SAGITTARIUS - You will have a burst of clarity soon about a situation you’ve been struggling with. The thing you are hanging on to the tightest, or hoping for the most, might actually not be the right thing for you. And this week, or soon thereafter, you might have a huge realization about a better way to do this thing. Don’t be afraid to let go and let change happen. AQUARIUS - For most people, directing their energy into a chaotic situation yields more chaos. But for you, this is your jam. You understand that chaos is just creatively placed solutions. You will actually create chaos yourself if you can’t find what you need in the current system. Your ability to create order out of madness will not only solve a problem, but you will impress and entertain some people in the process.

PISCES - You may feel stuck or uninspired right now. You can’t seem to move out of the spot you’re in, and you can’t see a path. There are two things here for you: 1) you may be depending on someone else too much in this situation and 2) this situation does not define you. This may just be a Divine timing issue and even though you feel frustrated, it WILL change. However, don’t be complacent about it, and don’t expect a rescuer either. Uranus is Chafed - BitchScopes for January 11-18

Every so often, I like to title this blog “What’s Up Uranus?” I switched it up to “Uranus is Chafed” because I’m super mature, and also because it is accurate. Although I think Uranus is chafing US more than he is chafed himself. But anyway...

Uranus is my ruling planet, and he is making himself known throughout this month. There are a couple of really optimistic aspects at the beginning of the week, and then things turn to feeling frustrated and nervous. Accurate!

If you’re working in an office (anyone remember that?), keep a low profile this week and don’t stir the pot. If you must ask for something, do it on Thursday, when Sun conjunct Pluto increases personal power. But it would be wise to see how these transits land in your chart as well. I would just say don’t ask for much this week, smile and nod, and avoid confrontations.

The New Moon is not gentle or simple either. Working on your personal goals is a great idea. But this moon makes a number of potentially tense aspects to Uranus, Mars, Pluto and Jupiter. (Moon conjunct Pluto, Mars square Saturn, Jupiter square Uranus, Mercury square Uranus, Venus trine Uranus)

In the USA, this New Moon falls in the 2nd house of values, money, and material things. We are still trying to figure out what we stand for and believe in. What do we really value and how? And WTF are we doing with this economy?

In Trump’s chart, this hits the 5th house of creativity and expression. I think he will be self promoting like always. I don’t expect him to take any responsibility this week, despite the building pressure. But the Full Moon in Leo in a couple weeks lands in his 12th house, and I think what was hidden in the dark will be illuminated around then. Of course, that’s after the inauguration, but according to what I’ve read, he can still be impeached after January 20th. He can also try to pardon himself, which seems absurd. I’m not sure I feel he’ll try it, but if he does, it will backfire. Watch that full moon on the 28th carefully, but more on that later!

The Cosmic Big O!

There are quite a few ingresses this week, which is when a planet changes signs. 3 of the personal planets shift into new energy: Mars, Mercury, and Venus. When a planet changes signs, we often feel a little off for a day or so. But the big news this week is Mars.

We have had Mars in Aries since June 2020 (when it is usually only in a sign for 6 weeks), and it never came all the way to 29 degrees! It came up to 28 degrees, then retrograded. This created a feeling of frustration individually and collectively and we all know what that looked like in society, not just in the US, but globally. Mars played a key role in the spread of Covid in 2020 as well. So this move out of Aries where Mars is its most powerful and impulsive, into steady, Earthy, Taurus is a big deal. Finally reaching a conclusion about something, anything, will feel really fantastic to all of us. Previously I had used the analogy of not quite being able to achieve an orgasm...getting really close but just not being able to climax, and the frustration that results from that. That is exactly what we’ve been feeling in 2020. And on Tuesday thru Thursday this week, we finally get the Cosmic Big O!

Mars at 29 degrees isn’t quite the same as building orgasmic pleasure however. Tuesday and Wednesday we may not feel the afterglow just yet. Those 2 days could be quite intense. We can feel argumentative, frustrated, ready to explode, impulsive, and angry in general. But when the shift into Taurus happens in the wee hours of the 7th, we should feel or sense a “pop”. Yessssssssss!

Interestingly, on January 5th there is an important run-off election in Georgia, and on the 6th, US Congress meets to count the electoral votes. (There are a lot of trigger words in that sentence, eh? Hahaha. Election PTSD!) You can read about how it works here. The chances of any challenges to the electors is high, but the chances of succeeding with such a challenge is low. Pence has a critical role in this as the President of the Senate, and potentially the deciding vote. Whatever goes on, it is certainly going to be hot and probably ugly in there.

I think we can expect some outbursts on the world stage (nothing new there) this week. Overall, this is a pretty astrologically intense week so I would advise you keep your head down, drink your wine, and try to use nice words with the people closest to you. If everything gets too hot (not in a sexy way) in your life, take a deep breath and know that this will pass. Frustration is a difficult emotion to navigate so if we can be aware and give each other some space, it will help. The energy will find its footing very soon and we’ll be off!

ARIES - Well we are in week 2 of 2021 and you’re already bored. Here’s the thing...you have made some important decisions and had tremendous movement in your life recently. GEMINI - You are no stranger to boredom, in that it happens to you too easily. You and Aries may or may not want to hang out this week and compare “boring” lives. You’re restlessness and ability to get distracted could derail some things if you don’t stay focused.

LEO - I feel like the way you deal with money is undergoing a change, or needs to. This isn’t a bad thing or an omen. This is a message to get your shit together a bit in a particular area. You may have been coasting or on autopilot where money is concerned, or you may be excessively worried. Whatever it is, something different needs to happen. More careful thought, organization, planning, and “rulership” of your finances is due. The word “rulership” came to me as I was typing, but it feels so accurate for a Leo. Money is a part of your Kingdom that can not be ignored. Don’t begrudge it, don’t hate it, don’t dread it. Value and respect it and rule over it, so it doesn’t rule over you.

VIRGO - A little tough love, Virg, because you can handle it. You’re in your own way a bit. A great deal of success and happiness is yours for the taking. But you need to get a little more focused and organized. If depression or negative thinking has been a thing for you for a while, it may be because you need a focal point within yourself instead of others. The chaos around you is a reflection of your internal life, not a judgement or failure on your part. You may be spread a little thin. Take some time to look at what you spend your time, thoughts, money, and energy on. If you can’t pinpoint your niche, maybe ask a trusted friend or advisor. Good times are coming, and by that I mean love and/or fulfillment is very likely. But you need to be ready for it. This is one of those “dress for the job you want, not the job you have” moments (and “dressing” may be an energetic thing here).

LIBRA - The hard work you have done in your partnerships will be paying off very soon. This partnership could be business, personal, or spiritual. In any case, you’ve sacrificed and squeezed and challenged yourself and your “other”. During this time in between cycles, don’t start doubting yourself. Use this time to observe what’s working and what’s not, and make adjustments accordingly. The security you deeply crave is coming, if it is not already knocking on your door…

SCORPIO - You may be due for a “come to Jesus” talk, as they say. By that I mean that what has transpired in the past may show up now for reconciling. Where have you, in the past, been a bit careless? That’s the theme for what is showing up in your life now as a responsibility and burden. While you may feel overwhelmed, it is important that you stay grounded and do the necessary work. This is very likely related to Saturn, so you might look to him in your chart to see what’s up. A new cycle is coming, and soon. But you really must tie up loose ends, handle karmic debts and complete the business of the currently ending cycle.

SAGITTARIUS - You may be in a bit of a fight with yourself. Granted, it is probably about someone else, but the real action is taking place internally. What’s really needed is forgiveness, and it may require some work on your part. Forgiveness isn’t something you can fake. It is also talked about far too much in my opinion. I am not one to “force” myself to forgive someone. But in this case, it looks like you need to examine it. You will likely need to withdraw a bit in order to get this done. But the payoff will be huge in the new cycle that is waiting for you.

CAPRICORN - You’ve just emerged from a cocoon. Your wings are wet and floppy. You want to fly but you have to wait just a bit more. So while you are waiting, do a little self reflection. You have put in a lot of work over the last couple years. A lot. In all aspects of life, really. What has worked out and what hasn’t? And can you accept failure? Failure IS an option, and in fact, a requirement. Failures give us clarity about our next action. Once your wings are dry and its time for you to fly, remember to be fair, not only to others, but to yourself.

AQUARIUS - Well seeing as Saturn is now on your front steps, it is time you stepped up your game a little. To be an effective Queen or King, you must have your royal poop in a group, or at least have an idea about how to group them. You’ve had time to be distracted and maybe even a bit lazy. But this isn’t going to cut it going forward...not if you want a Kingdom...er, Queendom. Whatever. To be ruler of your weird little world, you must dig in, get focused, and do some hard work. It ain’t easy, bein’ Queen…

PISCES - Bored, disorganized, overwhelmed. Do you know this song? Let’s sing it together, because we all know it after 2020. If 2020 was an infant, it had a blowout diaper, and it leaked out on you, the car seat, the crib, the dog, and your vision board. Now you have to clean it up and reorganize things. Stay with me as I get grosser with this metaphor....Use that shit to fertilize your dreams! This is looking like a positive year for you, and your garden WILL grow. But why not utilize what you learned and gleaned from the weeds of 2020 to really boost the results? What did you learn? Write it down and adjust your vision board accordingly.

Embarking on a New Era...

It may come as no surprise to you that this week is pretty introspective, as this time of year usually is. It is cold, the days are short and dark, the holidays have passed, and the optimism tends to fade into worry. This isn’t just a coincidence or side effect of Western Capitalism.

At the end of 2019, the last Full and New Moons were Gemini and Capricorn, respectively. We were receiving new information and setting new personal goals.

I personally don’t like to do resolutions. I balk at dated goals and quotas of all kinds and I always have. If I have a goal, I tend to keep it very close to me and not share it at all. The idea of working in sales and having a sales goal or quota gives me an instant panic attack. But some people thrive on goal setting. No matter which category you fall into, your 2020 goals were likely rather screwed up by Covid.

At the beginning of 2020, instead of setting resolutions, or even intentions, I chose a word for the year. It was “appreciate”. I don’t really remember how I came about choosing that word, but it was fitting, because the Universe is listening. Not only have I learned to appreciate so many simple things this year, but I have appreciated in my own value. My sense of value to myself has gone way up this year. I made a long awaited decision to not let people outside of me determine my value. This was a theme for me from the time I was about 19, largely related to education and career.

My word for 2021 is Embark. It is just a word that came to me, and I like it.

This last week of 2020, we are reflecting on a dark time in human history in so many ways. But we feel hopeful that there is an end in sight now. We are anxious and impatient for progress, and may be jittery and bijiggity as a result. 2021 has some fantastic potential, as all years naturally do. The transits of this week invite us to examine the areas where we feel insecure, less than, and misunderstood. If something or someone from the past shows up, it is a chance for us to determine if we truly learned the lesson from that event. The full moon asks us to be in our heart, projecting the light out into the cold Capricorn energy. Determine what “home” means to you, so that when you embark on the new year and its adventures, your personal compass is calibrated to know how to return to home.

I had a cool organizer/planner 2 years ago (I had one for 2020 too. Ha. That was a waste of money! hahaha!) that had awesome words on each corner that you could tear off. I’ve kept them and they’ve been sitting in a box, marinating with some crystal energy. A week of Yang

Well I would love to tell you that the week of Covid Christmas will be chill and groovy, its more likely that there will be a lot of macho Yang energy in the ethers. Drive, competition, dominance, power, excitement...these are all words you may experience this week. The week starts with the Great Jupiter and Saturn Conjunction in Aquarius, which I talked about in last week’s Scopes (check them out here). This is a big deal, which will set the stage for big shifts in power for years to come. The way we structure our very society is up for discussion.


That same day is also the Winter Solstice. It is the longest night of the year, and after the long night passes, we await the return of the Sun and warmer days. Fire ceremonies are really beautiful to honor the solstice, or just candles around your house. Spend a few minutes reviewing what went right for you this year, because even in the darkest of times, there is something. If you feel like crap and can’t seem to find anything good to reflect on, simply allow yourself to dream about a future that feels amazing to you, and don’t hold back or be practical. We are in Sagittarius season, so dream big.


The movement of planets into Aquarius gives us a significant release of pressure, however. We are much more likely to feel optimistic about the future than we have in quite a while. We will feel less pressure in general without task master Saturn grinding us and working us so hard. I actually really love the energy of Saturn, but The Capricorn convention of the big players, including Saturn, just intensified all of that Capricorn energy to the point of us crying “Mercy! Uncle!” And so, now we get a reprieve.


So compared to many intense weeks in the months past, this week will not be awful, but this is definitely not a soft energy week. Keep your masculine energy and your ego in check. Your mind will be a genius- generating machine this week as well. But remember to check on your feelings, and the feelings of others. There isn’t much water in this week’s chart. There is a lot of fire and air, with a bit of earth. The feeling or image I get is that of an electric pole with its wires dangling and sparking, electrifying the air and space around it. If you don’t watch out for water, or touching the wrong thing, you can get electrocuted. You need water, but you need it at the right times.

Drink your coconut milk eggnog, eat your grandma’s cookies, enjoy whatever you are able to enjoy around you. Be gentle with yourself and others. Be slow to speak, act, and react. And utilize this confident energy to refuel your belabored spirit. Believe in magic and miracles. Believe in love and security. Believe...because the of the Sun (and Son) are coming.

Address unhealed wounds that get triggered by the past and work on healing them. If you find yourself longing for the good ol days, really examine what exactly you are longing for, and set some intentions to bring that into your life again. Focus on the feelings, not the people. For instance, if you are longing for a love relationship, rather than pining over the past, set and intention to bring the feeling of being really loved into your life. It will happen.


LIBRA - This week you may have to “follow the rules” and it may cramp your buzz. This is necessary however so don’t fight with it. If someone with authority discusses something with you, take it seriously, and probably literally. This is only temporary. It may be a “test” or it may be building a secure foundation for the future. SCORPIO - This week it would be great for you to stop and examine the things you do and why you do them. Look at all your options and obligations. There is very likely something that needs to be done differently that you’ve been doing the same way for quite some time and sort of forgot about it. Take the auto pilot off and get a feel for the way the plane is flying. There’s something in the details that needs a tweak. (This could be people who do things or work for you as well).


SAGITTARIUS - Your life needs a little balance these days. Your practical and spiritual sides are out of alignment. Whichever side is a little too heavy, work on leveling that out. With balance between DOing and TRUSTing, you will manifest much more than you have been. Start with seeking out more pleasure in every day.


CAPRICORN - Things will be coming full circle for you now and in the days and weeks ahead. The work you’ve put in will really start to bear fruit. You have been under a lot of pressure to do and be and perform and achieve and you have done all of that. Now you will start to experience the satisfaction of seeing things come together in a way that you’ve not felt in a while.


AQUARIUS - A new version of you is forming now. Your creative and brilliant energy will be utilized and appreciated more in the coming time. For the past few years you have felt like struggle has no reward, but that is changing. Now is a powerful time for you to work on manifesting what you really desire. The trick may be in remembering what that is...


PISCES - You are about to enter a period where you get to call the shots and live life more on your terms than maybe ever before. Independence is yours. Conformity was never a great color on you anyway. But a word of caution: don’t burn bridges. Be diplomatic and gentle. It will only benefit you in the long run, and help you fly higher!

No Big Deal

 

Well, yawn, I mean, there’s not much to talk about this week.  But I’ll try.  The week starts with a New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius, and is followed the next Monday by a little event called the Grand Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. It’s kind of no big deal (heavy sarcasm, people). But here’s some bullet points to illustrate that...

• This is the closest they’ve been since 1623 (or 400ish years)
• Last time it was visible from earth was 1226
• The last conjunction was in May 2000 (in Taurus) 
• This is the closest great conjunction until 2080
• Jupiter Saturn conjunctions occur every 20 years
• This is 200 year cycle, within a larger 800 year cycle, as the duo changes elements every 200 years 
• From 1226-1425 they occurred in air signs, 1425-1603 in water, 1603-1802 in fire and from 1802 to 2000 in earth.
• Earth sign historical markers : establishment of banking system, scientific materialism (the notion that only the physical world is real, there is nothing supernatural or philosophical that is of importance), the machine era, coal as energy, discovery of oil, stock market crash, capitalism conquered communism (which embraced scientific materialism and was by nature athiest), global recession
• The last time these 2 were in air signs: rapid growth in trade, urban life, the signing of the magna Carta, building of the great Cathedrals, formation of guilds, emphasis on communities, institutions formed for the poor and elderly, the founding of schools and hospitals.  
• What to expect for the next 200 years: rapid increase in technology (look how far we’ve come with the internet and mobile phones), instant access to data, expression of human creativity and genius, community values, the greater good, focus on equality, social justice, human rights, a transformation of capitalism into…? 

 So..yeah. Whatevs.  It’s just the dawning of the Age of Aquarius! (hahahahaha)

But for us, personally, the effect of the eclipse and all the transits this week seem to point to a period where we are more focused on the future, our goals, our commitments, and a time where we are parsing through a lot of information.  Inspiration is hovering just within our reach.  Optimism is growing.  We are ready for...something, we just can’t quite tell what it is yet... 

This is a time to believe in magic, in the highest vibrations, creativity, hope, and the power of human connection to each other, and to God/Goddess/Universe/Creator/Source. Dream big, love big, receive!

12/19 Jupiter enters Aquarius - shifts our priorities to the future, and general optimism toward the collective

12/20 Mercury enters Capricorn - Authoritative communication, well organized thoughts.  

12/20 Venus quincunx Uranus - internal conflict or nervousness about commitments, or your affections may be erratic  

12/21 Sun enters Capricorn -  We become goal focused and more serious. 

12/21 Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius - This is IT. This is THE conjunction of the year, and more than that.  This is the biggest fucking deal with these two powerhouses in a few hundred years!  There will be great shifts in power.  Things become more intense and structures are ripe for change.   The approach toward “career” will shift over time.

This week’s scopes are written with “changes” in mind, and how you can most effectively kick ass using the changes to your advantage.

ARIES - Whatever may be trying to make an exit in your life, let it go! It is time. In fact, it may be past time. Even if this departure (or departures) hurt a little, there will be a silver lining.  Sometimes a tree or flowering bush must be cut back to allow for new growth.  You may feel vulnerable, but there’s a fresh new start coming.  Forgiveness is also a key ingredient for your prosperity going forward. Don’t carry that negative shit into your new cycle. 

 TAURUS - Harmonious partnership is coming.  That means if you are dabbling in partnerships that do not bring out the best in you, encourage you, or understand you, it is time to let those weeds go.  They are taking up room in the garden of your heart, and all they are doing is using your resources and light. What is coming is so much better than what you leave behind.  And you can not mess it up, miss it, or otherwise screw up recognizing it.  

 GEMINI - Your dreams and wishes can and will come true.  But, yes there’s a but...you have to learn to say no to things that you know aren’t right for you. This means jobs, people, and situations that don’t align with what you’re trying to be and achieve. Take some time to appreciate how far you’ve come, and get clear about what you need to still do. 

 CANCER - What appears to be a very annoying delay, or denial, is actually in your best interest.  You don’t have to be happy about it, but you shouldn’t spend too much time being bitter about it.  Let go of how something can turn up in your life, and focus more on the feeling you expect this thing to give you.  Our tunnel vision and limited human thinking prevents us from receiving in so many ways. Let go of the details and focus on the feeling. 

 LEO - Be alert and awake, because all the information you need is about to be revealed.  It is truly your time to shine, and everything is possible. You are very likely ending a difficult cycle becoming a much more stable and secure person.  Your relationships will flourish in this new era, and things will come more easily to you than in the recent past. 

 VIRGO - Be open to what is new, different and maybe even weird.  Approach all opportunities with childlike curiosity.  Accept that what is different from you is no less worthy than you.  This will be an exercise for a few weeks and if you work at it, your creativity will open up in very exciting ways. 

 LIBRA - Your bright light is far more influential than you’ve been able to admit or accept.  It will be time for you to step into the spotlight soon. When you do, some may criticize you.  Do not be tempted to dim or turn down your light for people too uncomfortable to stand in it.  Your transformation is inspiring others. 

SCORPIO - Relinquishing control is not your favorite thing.  But if you can let go of the wheel a bit, you will discover what you’ve been missing.  This is a call to have faith and believe in what you can not yet see. Instead of “build it and they will come”, you have been working on the business plan,  hammering out the financials, and designing the logo.  Explore,  dream, discover.  Then make plans.  

 SAGITTARIUS - You are poised for significant advancement and success! Your perspective needs a little tweak, however.  Get out of the weeds of details and zoom out to the big picture. One of your gifts is aligning with Spirit to gain perspective. Use this gift for yourself right now and believe in things you may have told yourself are unrealistic.

 CAPRICORN - Your passion and ambition make you unstoppable. You aren’t afraid of hard work and this not only gets you to the finish line, it gets you there first. Right now its time to tap in to your truest self and live life on your own terms, without concern for people who question you or obstacles in your way. Greet any challenge with the calm strength that defines you at your core. 

 AQUARIUS - Things are about to shift powerfully in to your favor.  So for the moment, take a step back, rest, and gain clear perspective and focus on what you really want to achieve and experience. Being alone with yourself right now will help your mind to not get muddled with other people’s needs and wants.  When the tide comes in, you want your ship pointed in the direction of your dreams. 

 PISCES - Collect the facts and then trust your instincts and intuition to determine how to use them.  You do need some outside information to complete your action plan. That information is going to come to you in a cluster of other information.  Take note of all of it and parse it out using your gut.  Take action when you feel ready, no sooner, and no later. 

BitchScopes for the week of December 7th

I’ve been in the habit of distributing the Scopes to readers on Tuesdays, so lately I’ve been overlapping Mondays so that you don’t miss important stuff on the first day of the week. 

We have such a Monday event on the 14th…

But before I get to that, let’s look at the week in general.  This is sort of a mixed bag in terms of energies, motivation, and confidence.  It isn’t the best week for productivity and kicking ass in the world. There are a couple of boosts to our ambition, drive and confidence, but there are better odds of feeling like you’re missing someone, forgetting something, lacking information, feeling like something is going to happen, or like things just won’t go your way.  It is a good week for a party, but parties are so 2019...so maybe set up a zoom party with your people.  Overall, you’ll be best served by staying grounded and remembering who YOU are, don’t worry so much about who other people are or aren’t or what they’re doing.  Don’t pick any fights this week, because things are feeling just a little too personal. 

Ok so what about that eclipse? 

Eclipses are always a talking point and reveal interesting things, somewhere in our world.  As I mentioned 2 weeks ago in the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Gemini, missing information becomes illuminated.  While lunar eclipses tend to be more of an internal experience, giving us epiphanies and realizations, solar eclipses tend to be more about external events.  Information that was in the shadows can surface and surprise us.  It is not always bad, and it won’t always smack you in the face...only sometimes.  In August of 2017, the “Great American” Eclipse was at 29 degrees of Leo.  It happened to land smack in my boss’ chart on her ascendant and moon, within 2 degrees.  She was in way over her head and had been a thorn in many sides.  The day after the eclipse they fired her.  It was traumatic, I’m sure (I didn’t talk to her), but it was actually beneficial for her for numerous personal reasons. She had childcare struggles, a special needs kid, and the job was just a shitty fit.  She got the job it via the good ol’ boy connection from a Scorpio and another Leo (2 Leos do not a great management mix make!)   She went on to do something muuuuuch more suited to her.  These are the things that an eclipse can do.  Granted, that was also a 29 degree eclipse which is a bit more critical and a “hair on fire” sort of thing, but you get the general idea.  

December 14th is a Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius (not visible in North America).  

Donald Trump is a Gemini Sun, Sagittarius Moon, and Leo Rising. 

December 14th is also the day that the Electoral college meets to cast their votes and certify the election.  Trump’s Sag Moon is in his 4th house, and perhaps I’m being glib, but it seems like this eclipse is going to make a relocation necessary, for certain. I mean, we’ve known this, but I’m not sure he has.  Anyway, you get the idea. 

In more general terms, this is a super juiced New Moon in the optimistic, philosophical, navel gazing, existential crisis having Sagittarius.  Expand!! Expand damnit! Expand your consciousness, expand your horizons, expand your mind! This is what the New Moon in Sagittarius wants you to do.  New moons are for manifesting.  The last several lunations have been asking us to not think and be so small, but to dream big.

ARIES - What are you clinging to the tightest in life right now? Loosen your grip.  Fear of change is causing you to hold on to something, someone, some place, some way of living, some belief, that doesn’t work or isn’t needed anymore.  You are a fearless badass.  Can you trust that something better will replace this thing or idea?  

TAURUS - Receiving sounds great.  Seems like it should be easy to just...receive (happy sigh and angels humming).  Its actually not that simple because we have myriad ways of closing ourselves off because we are afraid.  When you are truly open, you will receive both good and bad things, both criticism and reward.  If you feel you have been rejected recently, it means you’ve been open, and that’s good! Don’t shut yourself down and close the doors and windows.  Own what your flaws and faults may be, and continue to be open to receiving joy.  

GEMINI - If you’re feeling bajiggity lately, I wouldn’t blame you. Your ruling planet, Mercury, has been pretty busy.  The Eclipses are on your axis as well.  But don’t try to anticipate every possible outcome.  Your powerful and brilliant mind can sometimes be your undoing.  Whatever happens, that same mind will handle it like a badass.  So give your brain a rest and let life come to you.  

CANCER - Guilt...its a terrible color on everyone. You have a right to feel worthy and loved.  But if you are feeling insecure, guilt ridden, and ashamed, you are curled up around your chakras and they can’t radiate that amazingness out into the world.  Open up and let the light shine on you.  Stand up and be loved.  I love you...be it.  Feel it.  Say it.  Do it.  

LEO - Failure is definitely an option.  It’s actually a requirement.  If you've never failed at anything, you probably haven’t ever left your house.  All the great inventors failed many times before they were successful. It’s a learning process.  The glass is not half empty, nor half full...it is just a work in progress.  Pursue life even if it means you trip and fall sometimes. 

VIRGO - If you are worried about disappointing someone by saying “No” to something, quit it.  You’ll end up disappointing yourself.  You work too hard and sometimes for the wrong reasons. You are not obligated to fulfil every request from every person or thing.  Pick something that gives you joy and fill your own bucket for a while...a few hours, a few days, a few weeks….whatever you need.  Learn to say No. 

LIBRA - You may be resisting expressing your unhappiness or anger about something because you really hate discord.  So what if you offend someone or piss someone off for speaking your truth.  Can you handle that? If you shove down your anger too much and too often it will just fester and give you wrinkles.  

SCORPIO - What if you didn’t have a thing to worry about and your only job was to feel joyful? If you had no worries, what would you blame your mood on? (Get a cat, ask me how I know.)  Just be open to experiencing more joy and love and less fear and worry.  Use your vivid imagination to do something more productive than worrying about what has happened, or what might happen. 

SAGITTARIUS -  Your self esteem may be low, or you may be feeling depressed about the state of things, or guilty about something that you weren’t able to do.  These are all very human.  But don’t let that shit dim your light.  Your idealistic nature is the magic that the world needs, even if the world is too dark to see it right now.  Just be you, without apologies.

CAPRICORN - If you’re too busy to accept a compliment or feel some joy, then you might be in martyr mode.  Hint: you’ll never get that last nail in…  Slow down.  I know you’re the King or Queen of getting shit done, but busy-ness is sometimes just a crutch.  Feelings are Ok, especially this time of year.  Some feelings are even nice...try it out. 

AQUARIUS - You need a nap in a dark, quiet room. Really. You may feel like you’re never going to get all the things done that you “need” to do for all the people, and you actually may not get it all done.  So what?!  I know it dismays you, but You ARE human.  Take a break, take a nap, dream a little dream.  Rest is required for growth!

PISCES - “Let that shit go” is a popular saying.  But you really can’t just “let it go”.  You have to actually face it, feel it, heal it, and then you can let it go.  It can be scary, even terrifying to face the things in your shadow, but you can do it. You’ve done it many times in this life already.  Don’t resist your fear...lean into it.  That's how you overcome it and then it will let YOU go. 

Sit down and enjoy the meal

Overall this week may be a little quieter than we’ve had for several weeks, but not without some minor challenges to your patience. Mercury enters Sagittarius, joining the sun. This boosts our feelings of overall well being, hope and optimism. Neptune has been a strong player in the last couple weeks, and is this week as well. It’s a week to take a deep breath and do things that bring you pleasure and joy. It will be helpful if you can just focus on yourself, because things may feel awkward and out of sync with the people around you. Nerves may be jittery for no apparent reason. It’s time to pull back and cruise - bake, make lists, watch movies, take it easy, even if you feel like you can’t possibly. It is not a good week to try to plan everything or figure things out. It is a good week to daydream. In order for Sagittarius’ optimism to reach you, you’ll need to clear some space in your head. Meditation and general relaxation are the prescription for the week.

11/30 Full Moon in Gemini / Lunar Eclipse
Relax, this isn’t one of the giant doozies. But it is a supercharged full moon because of the (penumbral) eclipse. There will be internal revelations and epiphanies, probably unexpected because of Uranus’ influence. Those thoughts could be shadowy because of the influence of Saturn on Mercury. Watch what you say, words are powerful.

12/1 Mercury enters Sagittarius - our thinking processes emerge from the depths of Scorpio and we rediscover optimism and feel more positive.

12/5 Venus trine Neptune - romance, relaxation, and daydreaming

12/6 Venus quincunx Mars - Your love radar is out of calibration and your rhythms are a bit wonky. This affects all relationships but especially intimate ones. Socially, things can feel awkward and boundaries may be handled with discomfort. You may feel out of sync with your partner, or dissatisfied in a way that is hard to pinpoint.

12/6 Mercury quincunx Uranus -   tense, “wired”, on edge, a bit nervous or jumpy You may need to consciously give yourself space to breathe.


ARIES - You may channel this week’s energy by feeling restless. You could feel like you’re on a different page than everyone else. Be aware of running off at the mouth and saying too much. What words you do say, make them honest and truthful and don’t piddle around getting to the point. Bear in mind that most everyone will feel hyper sensitive this week, including you. So just use caution with your words, and move that anxious energy out of your body the way you do it best...either take a run or have some sex.

TAURUS - This week is made for you. Pull back and please yourself, whatever that looks like. Be reasonable though and don’t go overboard. The point is to find balance, not to throw it off more. Moderation is key. Don’t commit to anything this week if you can avoid it. Test the water first before diving in.

GEMINI - You could be pretty prickly this week, feeling a bit hung over or a little too “seen” by that Full Moon on Monday. Your leadership is needed this week, but you will need to fight your “air”...meaning, don’t rely too heavily on your intellect and reason. Your emotions are actually needed this week. If you feel moved by something, there is someone in your circle that needs to hear what you have to say. So rather than speak from your head this week, speak from your heart.

CANCER - Your guidance this week is somewhat opposite of Gemini’s. Rather than following your heart and feelings, which comes naturally to you, you need to lean into logic to make decisions. Not that you are not logical normally. But it isn’t your primary mechanism. There is something very new trying to come through for you. This is something that will change the way you live your life, and it is not negative. But I do sense a big change. So when deciding how to approach things this week, really analyze the data rather than flying by your gut.

LEO - You have all the necessary skills needed to build the project that is on your plate. Your youthful, heart centered energy will give you the endurance needed to complete this. If you are learning a new skill, don’t be discouraged or daunted. You are likely to experience amazing growth from any effort you put forth right now. You are feathering your nest for the future right now.

VIRGO - You may have fallen in a little bit of a hole, Virg. You’ve been in this hole before, and you know how you got here. And that is ok. Forgive your patterns, and habits and oopsies, and just focus on the light above the hole. This is not a deep, black hole. This is an opportunity to use your optimism muscle. Because this will pass. Strive for awareness around negativity and self sabotage and just keep looking up.

LIBRA - Don’t let any delays or obstacles you see in front of you now discourage you from feeling optimistic. You have had some hard core ups and downs this year and this is just more of the roller coaster. Someone may not hold up their end of a bargain, or may fall through on a promise made. Your success does not depend on this person, however. So don’t get totally thrown off course. 

SCORPIO - There is something in your life that requires pretty swift attention and a decision you may not feel ready to make.  You will need to make it, and carefully, or it will be made for you. There may be a person in your life who, for lack of a better phrase, is full of shit.  You will need to cut through the BS to get to the truth. And in this energy the truth is of ultra importance.  Make sure you're being honest with yourself.  You are fully equipped to deal with whatever this is, even if you feel you aren't.  You're not alone, you know...

SAGITTARIUS - It’s time to act on whatever you’ve been sitting on. Move. Go. Do it. This is your sign that yes, now is the time to do the thing...the thing that came to mind when you read that first sentence. Phase 2 is ready, so go get dressed! 

CAPRICORN - Well you certainly have felt the pressure this year from all those heavy planets sitting on your head and your plans. Some of the planets moving into Aquarius this month will help kick things off in a new direction. Coal under pressure becomes diamonds, and you will be sparkling in the next couple years. But to become your new self, you have to let go of parts of your old self. You’re entering a regeneration phase. Your diamond has been plucked from the earth, deep in a cave. Now you’ll be cleaned up and ready to take shape as a gem. If you’re capable of it at all, rest.

AQUARIUS - You are indeed entering a period of prosperity. You’ve been sensing it. You know you’re on the edge of it. You may be feeling the anxiety that comes from standing on that edge. You may also be overthinking about what needs to be done. Nothing needs to be done. Everything is ok. You’ve done the work, now enjoy the party. It is ok to sit down and relax.

PISCES - The foundation has been built. The work has been accomplished. It may be tempting to keep adding on to the plan, because it seems to be going well. Know when to stop. Be aware of overdoing and overspending and overachieving. The foundation of the house is complete. The walls need not be carved ivory or gilt gold. They need to be strong and stable, safe and secure. Be pragmatic in your decisions this week.
