Well this week there are a couple things to discuss, but the big focus is the Lunar Eclipse on Saturday July 4th (late the 4th and very early the 5th in some places). This Full Moon is in Capricorn, opposite the Sun in Cancer. This lunation asks us about how we can have the harmonious home life we all crave, shedding light on the tension between nurturing ourselves and our responsibility to others.
One way of looking at at this (archetypally and admittedly gender normatively) is the difference between how a mother tends to her family and how a father tends to his family. Do success and money bring ease and joy, or do ease and joy help manifest money and abundance?
This eclipse is also an emotional reset. This moon opposes Mercury, which means expressing your feelings is important during this time. The trouble may be that Mercury is also retrograde, so accessing and making sense of those feelings could be a little more difficult than usual.
To help gather your thoughts about this, consider that this set of eclipses began in July of 2018. Where were you, what was happening, what were you trying to achieve? As I typed the above I was a little gobstopped and paused to chuckle.
I met Patrick in the summer of 2018 (we met online in May, and in person in August.) In July we were feverishly anticipating that meeting, and how our relationship would progress. We’ve been together ever since, even though he works overseas. This Spring he came home for vacation as he does every few months, and got stuck here because of Covid. Figuring we’d take advantage of our time together and not knowing when he’d have to return, we got married in June! So we officially enter a new phase of our relationship now! (2020 also gave me the balls to finally quit a job that I hated for 7 years!)
Eclipses come in pairs and repeat in patterns. About every 10 years you’ll see the same sign pairing and every 19 years you’ll see exact degree repetition. We had Cancer/Capricorn eclipses in 2000/2001, and again in 2009/2010. This years 2020 eclipses match sign and degree to the 2001 eclipses almost exactly. (in 2001 I landed an amazing job. In 2009 I lost that job. In 2010 I left my marriage. In 2020 I quit a long term job and re-married...whoa!)
Hindsight is 20/20. And 2020 is fucking crazy. So it's nearly impossible to truly predict what will come of these events. I did not anticipate any of the above! But what is clear is that Eclipses set things in motion at a much faster pace, and they bring closure, culmination, and new beginnings. Sure, beginnings come from endings. But rather than look at that as always negative, which we all tend to, think of this...My single life and corporate slavery both end, so I can begin a marriage and self employment! That doesn’t suck. And truly neither do any of the changes happening for you. Life is happening FOR you, not TO you. Admittedly that’s very hard to see sometimes!
June 30 - Jupiter conjunct Pluto (both retrograde) - Overcoming challenges and obstacles. Our inner badass comes to play. Drive to pursue our passions (Happened on 4/4 and will happen again on 11/12)

ARIES - It feels like a lot of your focus will be on your public image, which may or may not be a part of your career path (It could be that your image becomes more public as a result of your partner’s career path). You might be craving physical adventure and intellectual electricity. Who am I to tell an Aries no? Not this Bitch...go for it!
TAURUS - Experience and intimacy are on the menu for you now. And honestly, isn’t that every day for a Taurus? You will be craving extra depth of conversation, and maybe some adventure or exciting experience. If you need guidance, think about taking a class for something totally new, by yourself or with a partner (Tantra comes to mind….)
GEMINI - To be honest, we both know you are not particularly famous for your long term relationships, or your ability to form deep, profound bonds. But this week you may be craving all of that, and it may confuse you a bit. Vulnerability is key, even if it’s just with yourself.
CANCER - Tell the kids to go play in the yard, because you may want some play time with your significant other. Truth is, you may join the kids, because fun is what’s on the agenda. Creativity, connection, romance...all of that is up for grabs this week. Make sure you are able to receive joy as well as you provide it...
LEO - Take yourself for a walk. Get outside. Jump around. Start a new fitness plan or set a new goal for daily movement. You will need to adjust your schedule to make time for this, so don’t allow yourself to look at your calendar and say “Nope, I just can’t!” because we both know you are creative enough to figure this out.
VIRGO - Creativity, art, and connecting with others thorugh play are things you’d benefit from pursuing this week. Don’t be surprised when you look at your daily schedule in your color coded organizer and feel like saying “fuck it”. Lean in to that and go dancing!
LIBRA - Your daydreams of making money via a passion project are not just silly. Allow yourself to really envision a successful life where you do something you really love. You might even consider doing this project with your significant other. At the very least, share it with them. What you allow yourself to dream about right now can make its way into your reality in the future.
SCORPIO - Allow yourself to get a little lost in a fantasy that is actually quite possible. Lean into your romantic side and create some magic for yourself and your family this week. Some minor family hiccups could crop up, but don’t bury your head. Instead, speak from your heart and things will heal much faster.
SAGITTARIUS - It’s fair to say that you always put your heart into your work. This week you could feel especially emotionally connected to your daily tasks. Your fire to achieve is stoked and your bottom line will benefit. Follow your joy to the bank!
CAPRICORN - Your passion could get a turbo boost this week and next! Your vision suddenly feels more in reach and your focus is on point. Follow your gut and lean into your deep inner knowing to learn your next steps. Your hard work of the last few years may finally show real fruit!
AQUARIUS - Your brilliant imagination could be the key to the financial success you’ve had your eye on for a while. It might be tempting to map out the course, but currently your energy is better served by simply envisioning the reality you want. You may feel kind of worn out this week anyway, so rest, reflection, meditation and manifesting are your medicines!
PISCES - Your week is likely to be filled with your people. Connections of all kinds are available to help you find success. The support of your tribe builds your confidence and you’ll be a force of nature as you move ahead on your path.
