Words Matter - BitchScopes for 3/28 - 4/4

This appears to be a very sensitive week we have coming up. The highlight is the New Moon in Aries, which is potent for starting new projects and taking action on things. But Chiron is ever-present this week, reminding us of where it hurts. Our reaction to the stimuli can vary from deep self nurturing to hostility. That means you might withdraw, or you might lash out…and it means others may withdraw from or lash out at you as well. Committed relationships are likely to lean in to each other, whereas competitors may really “poke the bear”.

Speaking of the bear…

Biden has been in Ukraine, visiting with some of the millions of refugees. In Putin’s chart, this new moon occurs in his 6th house, whereas it occurs in Zelensky’s 11th house. The 11th house transit is a very optimistic one which can rally hope and new support from his allies. Putin is having to work much harder than he anticipated. Out of curiosity I googled “Putin’s physical health”, becaue the 6th house rules health, wellness, sickness etc. etc. I always assume I’m just a dumbass who is looking for dots to connect. But it seems I am not the only one who has been talking about his health. There are “rumors” that he has cancer and has been undergoing treatment for it. Some say he rushed into this invasion because of a health crisis. There is speculation about dementia, parkinsons, and even “roid rage” (steroids used for treating something, maybe cancer, are making him ragey). Parkinson's rumors began as early as late 2020 and resurfaced in September of last year. The full moon later in April will be in his 12th house. The 12th house rules hospitals and other types of isolation; he may start to truly feel cut off and isolated. It could be a difficult time for his mental health. And some of his secrets may be revealed at that time as well. So Idanno. You can throw a rock and hit an astrologer who is making predictions, but I found it very intriguing and had to share it somewhere!

Anyway, back to our personal journeys…

So we could feel defensive this week, or maybe even offensive and aggressive. One thing seems certain, there is a strong theme of wounding and healing. Aries is the sign of the warrior, and Chiron is the wounded healer. There will be triggers, and there will be nurturing. Sometimes it may all come from the same “hand”.

The Sun, moon, Chiron and Mercury are in charge of this New Moon gathering. Our thoughts and communication should be pretty clear, so we can communicate effectively and be productive if we want to be. Words are important in this new moon. So if you do moon rituals, spoken and written words should definitely be used. Be conscious of how you use your words and what you say to others, as well to yourself. Words can be weapons, or peace offerings.

Watch what happens on Wednesday when Venus sextiles Eris. I think we will be hearing more from Judge Katanji Brown Jackson, who has been a pillar of composure and eloquence. I also think there will be a significant event around Trans, abortion and/or women’s rights this week. The NAACP has already made statements about the treatment of Brown Jackson during the Senate confirmation hearings last week. It is hard to predict what a significant event looks like anymore, because it feels like every single thing is significant. And that is actually true. The US, and the world, are being reshaped. Pluto is doing what Pluto does, and will continue to hold feet to the fire until the impurities are purged. But living in these damn historical significant times also means that sensitive people feel overwhelmed. I do think it is important to stay tuned in to the world, but do so at your own pace.

ARIES - There’s quite a collection of energy in your 1st house right now. You are empowered to do your favorite thing: DO. Do things. Do it. Do do do do. You can get a lot of accomplished during this time. And we can’t overlook that new moon in your sign. This is a great time for you to start a new project! You may have a financial choice of some kind this week. It could be a choice of jobs, a choice of bank lenders, or a choice between which bills to pay. I probably don’t have to tell you this but I’m going to: always pay yourself first…use that as a guideline

TAURUS - You may hit a snag on your career path. If you have any control, consider postponing any sort of pitch or big meeting until at least next week. It isn’t that the meeting or plan is doomed, it is more a matter of your energy being strong and ready. You may feel a choice coming between remaining in partnership or going ahead solo. This could be romantic, but it could also relate to business. For the new moon, consider a mini retreat or some deep meditation. Look for answers to questions that come up now when the moon is full.

GEMINI - You may find yourself seeking deeper answers and reassessing your beliefs and your purpose. It isn’t really a question of being of use, it's a question of how you can be of use. Venus squaring the nodes falls on your 6/12 axis. The 6/12 house axis concerns opposites (like all axes): physical/psychological, embodied/ethereal, work/service. Some people thrive on manual labor, others thrive in spiritual “work”. It is clear in your chart that a group of like minded people is what you need to move ahead

CANCER - It's not a great week to refinance or to try to consolidate credit card debt. But it is a good week to exercise creativity in a big way. You may find your creativity being used in a way you hadn’t considered, such as a conversation where you have to be careful what you say. Conversations at work are likely to be delicate and nuanced, so try to keep your eye on the ball.

LEO - You might be feeling the strain between work and home. It’s a delicate balance that you’ll have to strike, and work might win temporarily. You may encounter some dissonance within yourself about the path you are on. Some information could pop up that makes you reconsider where you’re headed. It is NOT too late to change course or direction, even though the idea might seem crazy.

LIBRA - Taking a more conservative approach will benefit you in big ways down the road. This might refer to a number of things, but money is still a big theme for you, and will continue to be for a while. Things should be stabilizing. The new moon in your 7th house will help that stability, as it will either bring new relationship opportunities, or a leveling up of the one you’re in currently. The future looks bright, just keep your chill for a bit longer.

SCORPIO - The choice you have at the moment regards choosing yourself or your “other”. Choosing yourself does not always indicate selfishness. Sometimes we need to put ourselves first before we can take care of others. If there is an option for a job or career change, pick the option that feels like home, takes you home, brings it home, keeps you close to home…something like that. You’ll know it when you see it!

SAGITTARIUS - Progress over perfection is your mantra this week. Unusual or non traditional communication might lead to the breakthrough you need. It might seem to barely move the needle at first, but have faith. You may have to choose between something physical and something spiritual… practical vs esoteric, real vs imagined. Choose the option that makes you feel a tickle of joy when you think about it.

CAPRICORN - Finances look like they are on the upswing for you. This is a skill that not everyone has, so use it to your advantage, or just to make yourself happy. If spreadsheets and stock options make you happy, more power to ya! The new moon is in your 4th house of home. But rather than do the cappy thing and replace all the light bulbs and shower caulking, buy some new dishes or lamps or something pretty that is also utilitarian. It's a new chapter in your home and family…buy a new chair to fall into with satisfaction at the end of a hard day’s work.

AQUARIUS - Venus is in your 1st house, so now IS the time to get your hair done or make a change in your appearance. Maybe even take a short trip somewhere enjoyable. The new moon kicks off what looks to be a busy few weeks for you. Your energy may be equally divided between family and work, but there’s a strong possibility you are able to choose family for the first time in a long time.

PISCES - The struggle is real at the beginning of the week, or at least, it feels real. But what is “real”, really? Ha. The struggle is only as real as you make it. A change in how you view a task or job might make the difference between “this is hard” or “I’m in the flow!” The new moon sets up a new cycle for finances and income for you. If you are making a choice between old and new, what you know and what you don’t know, the reward is likely to be in the new and unknown.

There is a lot of Mercury activity this week, as well as Neptune, and various aspects to the North Node, and a sprinkling of Mars. This makes me think that there’s a lot that will transpire to put you on, or move you forward on your path, but none of it will be immediately clear to you. The mercury transits are all quite positive and empowering, but with this much aspect activity, you may feel more anxious because Mercury rules the nervous system. Neptune can also make you feel a bit disconnected. Neptune puts us in touch with your intuition and creativity, but can make things foggy and hard to grasp. Grounding is going to be very important this week. Also, tune in to that intuition, because it is going to play a crucial role for you this week.

Mars makes some interesting connections this week, and they are all a little obscure. First Chiron, then Uranus, then Pallas. Mars and Chiron can facilitate healing. But Mars and Uranus can make you fidgety, jumpy, impulsive, and rash. Pallas fires up Mars’ desire to “do something”. Mercury in Aries underscores that desire, and adds a bit of impatience.

Mars and Venus move out of conjunction this week, with Venus taking the lead. This brings harmony in front of passion, and puts form over function.

Overall this is a very healy-feely week, but feelings butt heads with desire for action, and that can create anxiety. Body bajiggityness is very possible, so be mindful. Watch your breathing, be present, and keep a notepad with you to write down anything that feels important to you.

ARIES - Happy birthday Aries! This is your time to shine. But you might be a little thrown off by what feels like anxiety and nerves. In fact it IS anxiety. I tease Aries a lot about their need for movement but this is a great time to use that. Anxiety is really just energy that is unfulfilled or doesn’t have purpose. You don’t have to have life all figured out. If you did have it figured out you would not be human, you’d be a cat or a llama or a spirit guide…so relax and enjoy your time in the spotlight. Go for a run or do your hot yoga, you freak.  Your pacing is making my cats uncomfortable...

TAURUS - Are you nervous? Did you know that excitement and nervousness are basically the same energy? Maybe “anticipatory” is a more accurate word to encompass both. There is quite a bit of energy starting to form in your 11th house. This is the home of Aquarius, and also where our hopes and dreams and social connections happen. However there is also some strong activity in your 12th house, which could have you feeling a bit isolated, especially next month. Just remember that nervous and excited are twins. There’s good stuff ahead, so trust the process. Also, trust the chocolate...and eat it. It's good for the soul. 

GEMINI - You’re much closer than you think or believe you are, to that goal you only whisper to yourself about. Many people don’t know how much Geminis keep to themselves. I am not sure WTF…I haven’t even watched Star Wars recently. Anyway, you must both stand and rest. What that feels like to me is plain ol’ confidence. If you are standing on your principles, and you are feelin’ pretty chill about it, it’s because you’re right.

VIRGO - Spiritual stuff isn’t necessarily “better” than physical stuff. Your sign lives right there in the middle of that quandary. Don’t poo poo either one of those things when you are thinking, dreaming, and manifesting for yourself. You can work on manifesting wealth and still be spiritually strong. And I don’t mean any of this in a gross Joel Osteen kind of way. Just don’t limit either yourself or God. You are the sign of service to others, but if you really want to receive, you must trust.

LIBRA - If there has been a layer of tension over your life, it likely has recently broken, or it will be soon. And after you take that deep breath of relief, make sure you offer gratitude in the appropriate places. And THEN, have some friggin fun. Laugh. Dance. Find joy. If you can’t find it, make it. Have you ever tried this: fake laugh. Keep doing it. Yep, its a big obnoxiously fake cackle…keep going. Oooh, there it is. It’s changing. it’s now an actual, authentic laugh. Sometimes joy can actually come out of bullshit.

SCORPIO - Some may call you “arrogant”, or “full of yourself”. Well what the hell else are you supposed to be full of? Shit? No, then you’d be a Sagittarius. Anyway, while some may think you are plenty confident, this is your sign that you need to give yourself credit for something.
Don’t just shrug it off and pull the ol’ “oh it was nothing”, or “oh this old thing?” Bitch, you did a kick ass job and you should be proud of it!

SAGITTARIUS - When you feel disillusioned, it hits you hard. Over time, this layer of disillusionment can build up and really dull the optimistic wonder of the universe that you are. When you start to feel jaded and you project that shit out in the world, it hits others hard.
We collectively value your pie-in-the-sky ideals, even if your long winded stories about them bore us to tears. We still want you to have them! So buff that layer of crap off and leave the pessimism to Capricorn. Of course humans are capable of flight!

CAPRICORN - “Oh ye of little faith” - you prefer to prepare for the worst or expect nothing so you can be pleasantly surprised occasionally by something other than nothing. The problem with that is you might call the game before the players have…um…I can’t really finish a sports analogy. You might draw the curtain before the play is…over…? What I’m saying is you might pronounce something as finished prematurely. So if you’re feeling like something has failed, would it be too much to try to believe it is just “delayed”? Maybe there were supply chain issues.

AQUARIUS - No one can hold a grudge quite like you. No, it’s not really a compliment, but OK. The thing is, that residue of unforgiveness you have is blocking the sunshine of your spirit. It’s jamming your creative gears. It’s dulling your complexion. Whatever…its just…gross. Let that shit go, for real. What the hell are you saving it for? Are you gonna build the house of resentment? Yeah your friends will be dying to come over! Seriously, just let it go. Make a list. Make several…and mean it when you release it.

PISCES - Bad news or good news first? Ha, they are basically the same news. Here it is: “Nothing stays the same.” That means in shitty times, it will change. It also means in good times, it will change. Life is and ebb and flow of bullshit and drudgery and joy and security. You are right on the threshold of something big. It might be a decision, it might be the end of something….it might be…wait. You’re hung up…See?! Why when we read “end” do we automatically assume it's bad?! Maybe it's the end of painful menstruation. Maybe it's the end of zits. Maybe it's the end of cauliflower everything. Point being, try to keep the faith, because the sun will come out…if not tomorrow then very, very soon!

Deceptively "Quiet" - BitchScopes for March 7-14

I had to check and double check and triple check to make sure I wasn’t missing anything this week. There are remarkably few transits, compared to other weeks. This is the least amount of transits I’ve seen in a week in all the time I’ve been writing horoscopes! What does it mean? Well it doesn’t mean nothing is happening, that’s for sure. My intuitive feeling about this is that we are all a bit curled up and nervously watching things unfold in Ukraine. We are in Pisces season, so we feel more connected and recognize in a deep way that we are one people. This brutality and senseless destruction in Ukraine hurts us to watch.  I think things are going to heat up on the world stage this week. We are already seeing that as I write this (on the 4th). Individually, our energy is just pulled in. Life looks like business as usual, but it is anything but ordinary under the surface, and behind the scenes.

Monday the 14th things start to pick up a bit, but I’ll get into that next week.

I don’t usually get into the moon aspects because I feel like there are a lot of people who already do that, and because the moon moves so quickly, it adds a lot of transits and makes the list a little overwhelming. But I’m going to start adding the important moon aspects into BitchScopes when I feel the need. Because there’s not a lot of planetary action this week, we can look to the moon to see how we will be feeling…

I am not going to describe each moon aspect because…well, I’m tired. But I’ll give the day a vibey phrase.

Happy Monday. There’s no major transits today. But opps, I missed a couple of ingresses for March 6th. Both Mars and Venus entered Aquarius, aligning our drive and values with humanitarian interests and eyes on the future. Interesting to see the world events around this as humanitarian efforts unfold on the ground in Ukraine and Poland, trying to help people as they flee.

ARIES - Much like last week, you are being nudged to take a step back from the grind and your career push to connect and reconnect with yourself, and your friends. Your tribe misses you, and even though you probably haven’t slowed down enough to notice, but you miss them too. You may also have the desire to contribute to a collective goal or cause, and there are plenty to choose from right now. Maybe get your friends involved and make it a group project.

TAURUS - Your communication skills will be on point this week, and what you say could garner some positive public attention. If you feel you need to say something, say it. Your words have the power of poetic Pisces, and are imbued with compassion. So whatever you say this week will find a soft landing, and you may even inspire yourself.

GEMINI - The focus on your career continues, and you can continue to see growth and rewards there. You may find some difficulty digesting corporate BS for the next few weeks, because you’ll be geared more toward compassion for “the people” rather than “the company”. Don’t freak out if you forget a memo or send an incomplete email. On a personal level, it may be time for you to take a little vacay.

CANCER - Mars and Venus are together in your 8th house. Mars is quite happy here, and Venus can be surprisingly comfortable too. The combination, in a fellow water sign, makes for excellent partnership and sexual energy, and deep intimate connection. You may findy yourself waxing poetic, perhaps literally writing some poetry. This would be a great week for a class or workshop, whether you attend it or lead it.

LEO - Shave your legs, you’re in for a lovely week. Both your 7th house of partnership and your 8th house of intimacy are key this week. A deeper understanding could occur as a result of this week’s placements. Granted, the 7th house isn’t always about marriage and the 8th house also rules taxes. But if your business has a good tax outcome, that’s worth a smooth leg, isn’t it? If you are married, definitely try to plan a date night, with no kids, if possible.

VIRGO - Your work life could be sweetened this week, possibly by the people you work with, or those that work for you. With Mars and Venus in your house of rulership (the 6th), your daily routine and work environment definitely benefit. Put some fresh flowers in the office. If you are dating, this is a great time to tell your sweetie how you feel, write them a poem, or rewrite your dating profile.

LIBRA - This week at work, you may feel tired of fighting for what is “right”, and find yourself throwing up your hands, at least for the short term. There is nothing wrong with this, and it is probably a very healthy step back. Self care is needed! Meanwhile, Mars and Venus are in your 5th house of fun and romance, so this could be the perfect time to let go of idealism and perfectionism at work and go have some fun!

SCORPIO - Family fun time is the order of the week. What a nice prescription, eh? If you find yourself feeling guilty for being happy (because the world is so unhappy), don’t give it another thought. AQUARIUS - If you do any kind of creative writing, it could make you money this week. Broadcasting is also very favorable this week. With Mars and Venus both in your 1st house, you should feel your confidence increase. Your appeal is very strong and you are going to draw attention during these transits. Enjoy it. This may be the break you’ve been hoping for.

PISCES - This is a sweet week for you! With Mercury in your sign and transiting your 1st house, your speaking and writing, which are naturally a bit poetic, are more likely to find the right audience. There will be a certain ease for you in the way you put yourself out in the world during this time. Mars and Venus are transiting your 12th house, so hiding away with the one you love is also a strong option/possibility. You will make beautiful music together…maybe literally.
