But don’t fret! In between irritations and annoyances, we do get an injection of fun. The sun moves into Leo this week, reminding us the importance of play and creativity.
Clients often tell me that they are not creative when I suggest the need for an outlet. But it isn’t just about scrapbooking, painting, knitting and decorating. Creativity can come via gardening, cooking, sex, or just laughter and joyful movement. Sometimes just putting on make up that you wouldn’t normally can perk your creative brain cells. Just shaking your booty or using a hula hoop can activate your sacral chakra, which is the seat of creativity.
Particularly in the U.S. where we are conditioned to basically work ourselves to death and handcuff ourselves to our jobs, we struggle with the concept of fun and play. Not everything you do has to have purpose and be productive. (If you’re a Capricorn or a Virgo, read that last sentence twice.)
All work and no play makes Jackie a dull girl? Well no. Jackie is a boss bitch making her mark on the world. But she, meaning we, also need to have fun and play without guilt. Our greatest successes will come from the gifts we were born with and the passions we follow. That doesn’t always equate to “nose to the grindstone” all hours of the day. The Full Moon in Aquarius is likely to highlight the collective needs. This moon is interesting because we have another full moon in Aquarius next month!
Aquarius is the water carrier, as you probably know. Many people assume Aquarius is a water sign, but it is an air sign, connected to mental energy. Aquarius’ function in the zodiac is to scoop up the emotions of the collective, run them through the collective filter to determine what it needs. Then it is poured back down into our collective consciousness imbued with awareness of those needs. Aquarius is a big picture thinker, a visionary, a future thinker, and relies on other detail oriented signs to get the job done. As Divine Design would have it, the signs on either side of Aquarius are really good at painting in the details: Capricorn and Pisces. Virgo and Gemini (the other detail driven air signs. While I feel Libra is also a bit more big picture about justice and harmony) are also good and focusing broad Aquarian ideas into something digestible.
That Cancer New Moon a couple weeks ago really brought a lot of old stuff up for healing. Aquarius is here to take Cancer’s watery feelings to the transmutation mill. I’m getting a little stupid with my analogies... Anyway, the point is...the Aquarius full moons will shift things. Once our water gets filtered and redelivered, it will be different. We are healing. We are feeling inspired to right wrongs with real change (i.e. Indigenous burials in North American and recognition of genocide and widespread assholeishness).

LEO - This full moon may shine a light on some dysfunctional relationship issues in your world. Your self confidence will be high, but you may feel challenged in the emotional department when it comes to relationships. The trick is finding balance between vulnerability and strength - and you can have both!
VIRGO - You may have a breakthrough or epiphany this week which will bring “balance to the force”, so to speak....Your force...your inner balance. Once you have this realization, you’ll wonder how you didn’t always see it. This may have to do with a health issue, and it may go way back in your personal history, once you connect all the dots.
