Well, this is nice for a change - there are minimal major transits this week. There are always minor transits, but a bitch can only focus on so much, and I prefer to play with asteroids rather than semi-whatevers. There’s plenty of asteroid activity. The reason I love working with the goddess asteroids is well, because they are the goddesses. But they give us deeper self awareness. I feel like they are a little more personal in their energy, and a little easier to access for whatever reason.

So the major transits this week are Venus conjunct Jupiter and Mercury conjunct Saturn - and both of these transits are once-a-year events. The former gives a pleasant and peaceful vibe to the week. The latter favors logic and reason for any problem solving that needs to be done.  It is interesting to note that Saturn will be at 29°, so the traits of Saturn will feel heavier. Rules will be important.  You'll need to be disciplined if you want to reach your goal. There is an order to things that we will be asked to observe. Duty, carrying your assigned burden, and acknowledging authority (barf) are themes to be aware of. Humanitarian issues will feel extra urgent and critical this week and next, (and there are plenty of them).

Monday Mercury conjunct Eris is bold and fearless expression. (Yesss bitch! ) Tuesday is interesting, because while that spicy Eris energy might cause some kerfuffles in relationships, that Chariklo influence is compassionate and forgiving. Wednesday seems to be a little more focused on your path and mission. Are you walking the walk? Are you headed in the right direction? If you’ve been doing any inner work or trying to increase your awareness of how you tick, you’re doing well. It’s the people who aren’t reading this shit that are likely to get a shake up when things like eclipses roll around. Thursday looks very smart and logical. And then the weekend is colored with this air of forgiveness, compassion, getting aligned, having peace.

March is going to be an intense month of changes for the planets. We will feel those shifts without a doubt. Mostly they will feel like we hit rough seas or turbulence. We are likely to feel just a bit bajiggity. Here’s what goes down in March:

  • Mercury changes signs TWICE
  • Venus changes signs
  • The Sun changes signs
  • The Spring Equinox happens
  • Mars (finally!) changes signs (has been in Gemini for 7 months and normally spends about 6 weeks in a sign!)
  • Saturn changes signs! - Saturn has been in Aquarius for 2.5 years so this is very significant
  • Pluto changes signs! - Pluto has been in Capricorn for 15 years, disrupting the Patriarchy and all of the other foundations of the US. Now he will be shaking up who we are as a culture, a society, a community. He will be forcing us to look at humanitarian issues, and its bound to get ugly. I kinda can’t wait.
This is A LOT!!! So much pivots this month. So enjoy this week to the best of your ability. Embrace anything that feels good. Rest. Next week Saturn enters Pisces and we have a Virgo Full Moon (not my favorite).  It’s not like you can really prepare for these things, per se, or even that you need to. But this is an invitation to take a deep breath.

In light of all that, I’m going to do a little guided bibliomancy for each sign. I like to use Poetry. (This is so Mercury in Pisces!) I’m not sure yet who I’m going to quote, but each sign’s snippet will be properly attributed to the authors. Get some tea, light a candle, and let’s get hippie with it. *snaps*

ARIES - “My bees get their first supplies from the catkins of the willows. How quickly they find them out! If but one catkin opens anywhere within range, a bee is on hand that very hour to rifle it, and it is a most pleasing experience to stand near the hive some mild April day and see them come pouring in with their little baskets packed with this first fruitage of the spring.” - John Burroughs “The Pastoral Bees” from Locusts and wild Honey

Interestingly enough, a significant amount of activity is happening in your 11th house, which is very much where I would place bees if bees were into astrology. Maybe they are, I’ve never asked one. Maybe you should ask…

TAURUS - “I think people make a very big mistake by not showing their human sides. More often than not, if people can see the sensitive side of (people) in business, they relate better to them. They realize we all have frailties just like they do, and it really strengthens relationships.” - Janet L. Robinson, NYT CEO.

Much of your chart activity is happening in your 12th house of spiritual and inner life, and your 10th house of public life. Can you merge them, or at least introduce them to each other?
(“People” is actually “women” in the original quote, but that pissed me off, and I’m sure if you have been following me for a minute, you know why.)

GEMINI - “Let’s conjure up from the depths of our souls: the truest, most beautiful lives we can imagine. The truest, most beautiful families we can fathom. The truest, most beautiful world we can hope for. Let’s put it all on paper. Let’s look at what we’ve written and decide that these are not pipe dreams; these are our marching orders. These are the blueprints for our lives, our families, and the world. May the invisible become visible. May our dreams become our plans” Glennon Doyle, Untamed

Your 11th and 9th houses are particularly activated this week, and they are both visionary and idealistic. Dream the impossible dream. The realists of the world depend on you to do so.

CANCER - “Out of the mud two strangers came, and caught me splitting wood in the yard. And one of them put me off my aim by hailing cheerily “hit them hard!” I knew pretty well why he dropped behind and let the other go on a way. I knew pretty well what he had in mind: he wanted to take my job for pay.” - Robert Frost, Two Tramps in Mud Time

The 2 areas of your chart I am drawn to this week are the 10th and the 8th. The 10th is for career aspirations. The 8th holds traumas, and burdens and secrets. Hold your ideas close to your vest.

LEO - “Europe clogged my heart with all the joys of life. The only cure, the doctor said, was to cleanse myself completely of any culture, inspiration, or authenticity, so he prescribed a healthy but not deadly dose of Hollywood.” - Atticus, The Dark Between the Stars

I'm hoping it is somewhat obvious why this quote is appropriate for Leo. But it is also fitting because the most activated areas of your chart are the 7th and 9th houses, where we fall in love with others and with experiences.  Do not seek the cure for a heart clogged with joys!

VIRGO - "May I feel said he, I'll squeal said she, just once said he, its fun said she.  May I touch said he, how much said she, a lot said he, why not said she" - e.e. cummings, 16

The areas of your chart that are most activated this week are the 8th and the 6th. There's definitely some sexual energy happening in your body. What you do with it is your choosing.

LIBRA - "I caught myself smiling thinking of a memory we have yet to make; I'll let you know when we get there." - J. Iron Word, Future Memories

Your 5th and 7th houses are activated this week, and those relate to romance, joy, sex, and relationship.  It's a good week to remember how silly/stupid and important this kind of love is, and nurture it wherever you find it.

SCORPIO -"When it comes to who my children are, I don't want to be an Expectations Parent.  I don't want my kids striving to meet an arbitrary list of preconceived goals I have created for them.  I want to be a Treasure Hunt Parent.  I want to encourage my children to spend their lives digging, uncovering more and more about who they already are, and then sharing what they discover with those lucky enough to be trusted by them" - Glennon Doyle, Untamed

Your 4th and 6th houses are strong this week.  What are the habits that make your home or family the way it is? Can you derive something useful for your parenting practice from this quote? Or maybe you need to apply this to your expectations of yourself...

SAGITTARIUS - "She was no one to me on a train in May and everyone to me under the stars in June" - Atticus, The Dark between the Stars

Romance and friends are the flavor of this week in your stars.  Cherish the people you spend time with and fall in love with. Until you can't cherish them anymore, and then, cherish yourself, and surround yourself with people who cherish you.

CAPRICORN - "Spades take up leaves no better than spoons, and bags full of leaves are light as balloons...next to nothing for weight; and since they grew duller from contact with earth, next to nothing for color.  Next to nothing for use. But a crop is a crop, and who's to say where the harvest shall stop?"
- Robert Frost, Gathering Leaves

This week your 4th and 2nd houses are more active.  The 4th house is the "home and family" sector of your chart, and the 2nd house is "earned money".  Things hold whatever value you assign to them...a crop is a crop. Or is it? You get to decide what to value within your own family.

AQUARIUS - "She was just my kind of crazy" - Atticus, The Dark Between the Stars

I selected this line for selfish reasons because I am an Aquarius, and we all know I'm crazy.  But for every crazy, there is a person out there that will cherish that flavor of crazy.  We all deserve that.  Don't try to cram yourself into society's stupid little square cubbies.  Your abstract star shaped form is just perfect as it is.

PISCES - "Someone sent a band to my house, and it started playing at five in the morning. I took this as a sign that God wanted me to sing!" - Hafiz, I Took It As a Sign

Your 2nd and 12th houses are most active this week.  The 2nd is not just money, but what you place value on. The 12th is your inner or spiritual life.  Whatever you decide is a sign IS a sign.  If you place value on music, you'll hear God in music. If you place value on gardening, you'll see God in every carrot top poking through the soil.  Where  you get your signs is less important than recognizing them because it gives life meaning.
