Waiting in the Wings - BitchScopes for 11/28-12/4

Hey glittery souls! (I know you all know I love glitter. But I saw a poster this week that said “cat hair is my glitter” and I obviously had to get it. My soul is surely at least partially made of cat hair!) I simply cannot believe that we are entering the last month of the year! It seems like I just flipped my calendar over to October! June through September are just hot and super annoying where I live, and those months drag on endlessly. I seriously get seasonal affective disorder in the summer the way snowbound and PNW people get it in the winter. So I wish this time of year went a bit slower, but no one is taking my requests so…here we are.

December doesn’t have any hold-on-to-your-ass transits. We do have a mercury retrograde at the end of the month, but I hope we are all mostly at the point of feeling like that is just like an inconvenience…like starting your period while you’re on your Hawaiian vacation. Sometimes things get undone, but intellectually we know these are course corrections and will ultimately benefit us. It’ll be fine. Otherwise, in December there are some cool sign change-overs and direction motions happening. The Capricorn energy will come later in the month. But we get a warm up this week…

In addition to Neptune dropping in to confuse things, Saturn makes an appearance before the Sun

moves into his sign this month. This is like when a performer shows up in the wings backstage before they make their grand entrance. If you’ve ever watched any stand up comedy on Netflix, you have seen the comedians kinda wiggling around and getting hyped before they go out. That’s how I’m seeing Saturn this week. Is Saturn a comedian? Um, I would say indirectly…yes, sometimes. Capricorns can be some of the funniest people around. I think some people deal with darkness and heaviness with humor. They are able to transmute human weirdness and wickedness and depression into memes and jokes and brilliant observations. Many famous comedians have a Capricorn moon. Aaaanyway, herrrrrrrrrrrresssss Saturnnnnnnn!!

Monday Mars trine Saturn say work hard, be responsible, and Saturn will gift us something…though Saturn’s gifts don’t show up immediately, which is why I think he gets a bad rap. Also his affiliation with Kronos, who ate his children so they would not usurp his power. Saturn needs a good PR person to straighten this out. Kronos should specifically be about politics and government. Look at me inventing shit like an Aquarius…anyway…

Tuesday Mercury opposes Mars and sextiles Saturn, so there’s a competitive energy in the air, but we will have access to good judgement and communication. I inserted the word “access” because I have a hard time seeing all people as having good judgement or communication. We all have our charts which give us gifts and challenges. Why am I so Aquarian today as I write this?!?

Wednesday Venus opposes Mars, which creates tension and passion. Passion must be harnessed properly or it becomes angry, so be aware of your reactions to things.

Thursday is a crap shoot. Venus sextiles Saturn, encouraging commitment and serious long-term commitments, but Neptune shows up and squares Mercury, making everything confusing.

Friday is almost a no pants day. But Mercury does trine Eris, which can give a rebellious attitude. But its Friday, so come 5 oclock, bitch it up however you like. You will find your cats will be supportive of anything you say.

The weekend is chock full of reasons to not look at your dating profile for a few days and maybe don’t go on any first dates. Neptune goes direct and squares Venus. Dishonesty and confusion abound. It will take Neptune some time to reach full speed ahead, but when he does, we will be taking off our rose colored glasses that we may have been wearing since the end of June. Hmmm, maybe some good will happen with abortion rights during the direct motion, because Roe was overturned on June 24th, so it got rolled up into Neptune’s la-la land. Neptune rules reproductive organs in astrology, and that initial supreme court leak happened during the Mercury shadow. Mercury had just entered Gemini for that shadow period leading into the retrograde, and Gemini tends to portend things happening twice or having to do something over. So revisions seem inevitable. Mercury will retrograde again this December in Capricorn, sign of Government… so….

Also during the weekend, the Sun makes a quincunx with the North Node and trines Chiron, indicating some healing of your individual self or your process of individuating from something or someone else.

New Moon Gifts - Wear a Dress with Pockets - BitchScopes for November 21-28

Hey cats, kittens, bitches and badasses! This week I am thrilled to tell you that we get a nice, deep breath! Just in time for the holidays, we get a sweet new moon, free of fuckery and negative influence. No eclipse. No major bullshit. Just a good ol’ optimistic, manifesting magic new moon! Let’s go through the week.

Monday is a great day for socializing and brainstorming. Connections to others will bring some kind of information. We can make good financial plans under this aspect. This is a great day to tell someone how you feel or make something official in relationships.

Tuesday the Sun enters Sagittarius so in general things get an uplift. We will feel more optimistic, adventurous, hopeful, and connected. These ingresses usually take a little adjustment for us. Adding to that need for adjustment are some weird interactions with the asteroid Chaos. I would expect some hiccup of confusion or tension during the day. Chaos can also be harnessed for inspiration though, so the hiccup might bear fruit. (Wow, that’s a weird analogy/metaphor/visual).

Wednesday and Thursday, there’s a whole bunch of aspects around the new moon. Astrologers are all excited about this new moon because it is just plain good. It is good like a plain donut with coffee. A manifesting classic. A few hours before the new moon, Jupiter (the ruler of Sagittarius) at 28° Pisces trines the Moon at 29° - and you know how I feel about 29°! In this case, Scorpio, dumps some mystery prizes into the lunar recipe. Then just a few minutes after the the new moon is exact, Jupiter (Sagittarius’ ruler) stations direct (in Pisces). Its almost as if Jupiter says to the Moon “Make a wish”, and then shoots it forward as an arrow out of a bow when it goes direct. All of this will give us better access to our intuition and inspiration. All of this is optimistic, lucky, enthusiastic. We are geeking out about it. Then the Moon, happy as a bride at the reception, takes a spin with several planets (check out the transits list).

Sagittarius and Jupiter govern beliefs. This is a beautiful opportunity for a ritual under this breath of fresh air new moon. Write down what you want to manifest into reality in the next 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Think of your desires. Now expand them just to the point that they are uncomfortably good, where you start to resist the possibilities. Put a pin in that feeling and use it for your manifesting and intentions. (Perhaps make a copy of it so you can refer back to it.) Then burn your words in a small fire (outdoors of course! This is a disclaimer I have to make now that I am married to a fireman!). Thursday is an interesting day for Mercury. There is a moment where we lose access to our thoughts, memories, ideas and information when Mercury is occulted (eclipsed) by the Moon. Mercury goes into the dark and scoops up some deep thoughts. When that switch gets flipped again, we can expect a sudden download of truth or information. Take time to process it accordingly.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday carry some of the Mercury information forward. Hey look at us, surviving after that “eclection” (eclipse election)! We’re rad. Let’s have another week! Dealer, hit me! Barkeep, another! DJ, play it again!  Readyyyy, Okay!

This week is muuuuch calmer. There’s several Sun aspects, and 2 planets changing signs, one of them being Venus. (Next week the Sun changes sign and there’s a new moon). I’m going to try to keep it brief this week, I swear.

Monday there are a couple of strong aspects happening, including Mercury sextile Pluto, which makes for some potentially intense conversations. The Sun trines Neptune, which helps soften everything considerably, and adds an artsy, dreamy flair.

Tuesday is mostly lovely, with Venus and Jupiter feeling happy and optimistic. But the Sun quincunx Mars could add some aggravation or vexation.

Wednesday has some distinct tension, provided by the Sun, Eris, Lilith, and a square. That is likely to look like a masculine vs. feminine throwdown. But if we are very intentional and aware, Mercury trine Jupiter could add the needed kindness to the day.

Thursday Mercury enters Sagittarius and we will think and feel more optimistically and philosophically.

Friday some of us are going to feel very driven toward a goal, and the rest of us should stay out of the way. The roles will be obvious.

Saturday is a bit of an echo of Friday - work independently, do something artsy or creative, or just nap!

Sunday the Sun trines Jupiter and Vesta enters Sagittarius, and both of these aspects suggest that we lean into spirituality and charity.

It will come as no surprise to you or anyone who knows you when you start to get the itch of adventure starting this week. Be aware of boredom and self sabotage due to boredom. Your love life should get a nice boost of energy, whether you are already attached or just dating around. Long distance relationships are possible with the influence of Sagittarius. If you’re unattached but looking, embrace that “Sagg” energy and change things up on your dating profile, or the types of dates you go on. TAURUS
