Set into motion by that Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, there is a focus on the future in this week’s astrology, and the future looks inspired. Hey bitches. It is a big week! Saturn will be retrograde as of Sunday May 23rd. This is bound to bring up some issues for you around authority, responsibilities, fatherhood. It is so weird that this falls so close to the anniversary of my dad’s passing. I have Saturn retrograde in my 12th house, and when dad died, this pipeline of “knowing” just opened up for me. I have had some big breakthroughs in the last 4 years. Where Saturn is transiting your personal chart, you are bound to be pulled in by its gravity, figuratively speaking. Spend some time with your difficult feelings and let them out somehow. The Full Moon in Sagittarius is a lunar eclipse as well. Your beliefs may come into question or be up for revision. Truth and discernment are a big theme for this lunation. This cosmic course correction (think of your GPS on your device when you miss a turn and it “recalculates route”) could be a test of faith in some way. Get clear about what is true for you. There’s a strong emphasis on relationships in this week’s transits. Issues may arise with committed partners, and with our selves. Communication issues are likely if you are not plugged in and aware. The things that are coming up are meant to be viewed and healed, not wrestled with. If you resist the experience because it is uncomfortable (this is wrestling), it will hang around longer and grow in strength. Compassion for your own experiences as well as the people you are around on a regular basis will go a long way in preventing blow outs. There are a couple of great planetary line ups this week. The New Moon in Taurus is really sweet and should be a sense of safety and comfort. Because Taurus rules the material realm, this is the perfect New Moon to manifest material abundance. A grounding ceremony would be very beneficial. The birthstone for Taurus is emerald, and it is fantastic for bringing in abundance in both finances and relationships. Yellow calcite and citrine are also great for manifesting money. Jupiter enters Pisces on Thursday the 13th and this bodes really well for our collective outlook. Jupiter in Capricorn was rough, particularly because it was in the company of so many other hard hitters in Capricorn. We all know how that went. Jupiter in Aquarius has been much better. There has been significantly more focus on humanitarian ideals and efforts, and vision for the future. Our collective head isn’t entirely in the commitment / relationship game right now. Mercury in Gemini makes for a busy mind and many distractions. (Mercury will retrograde in Gemini at the end of this month so pay attention to what is coming up right now.) We are ready to get out there and mingle, or at least share stimulating conversations with others. This is partly due to Spring Fever and Covid quarantine fatigue, but Mercury in Gemini is at play here too. We have watched all the Netflix and read all the books and planted the garden and deep cleaned the shower and now we are feeling like maybe we could put on pants and shoes and go somewhere. This distraction carries over into the work place as well. No matter how great our ideas are or how motivated we were when we woke up, once we get to the office (or living room or wherever), we suddenly feel like we need to alphabetize things and start that yoga routine that we said we would start 22 times last month. Last week was a Habanero. (was it for you? I'd love to hear.  It definitely was a little too spicy for my energy last week!)  This week’s transits paint a complex picture. Obviously this list of transits doesn’t come close to all the gears that are moving in any given moment, let alone a week. Your personal natal chart overlays all of this, and your partner’s chart, and your employer/employees’ charts, your childrens’ charts,  and so on. Even the individual horoscopes I do aren’t the whole picture, but it gives us a template to build on and to be aware of.   Sometimes I get burned out on predictive astrology because psychological astrology is so much more interesting and useful in my opinion.  But as long as we aren’t throwing our hands up in the car and going “Jesus take the wheel!
