And now, without adieu…the scoop!

Hello Glitteratti! Welcome to another week of fun times on Earth! Let’s see what color we need to paint our nails* to deal with humaning this week!

The week starts and ends with some excellent Venus vibes, so maybe Barbie pink is the manicure color of the week, eh? But in the middle we have some emotional...dryness. Yes that's what we'll call it.  How can moisten our emotional life? (haha I know everyone hates the word "moist"). Let’s dig in…

Monday Venus is conjunct Lilith! This is SO GOOD.  The best word I have for this is “Unbridled”.  Our sexuality, our rage, our love for ourselves…unbridled.  Yum!

Tuesday is  the exact Lion’s Gate Portal I talked about at length last week.  Take advantage of this energy!  (read last week’s blog, you silly Bitch!) Also Yum!

After Tuesday, however, there’s a lot of energy around drive, ambition, leadership and service *makes blah blah blah hand gesture* But what we don’t have easy access to right now, collectively,  seems to be emotion, intuition and maybe the ability to nurture.

In the sky right now, we have a lot of fire (passion and action): The Sun, Venus and Lilith in Leo, Chiron, the North Node, and Eris in Aries.  We have a some air (logic and knowledge): Ceres in Libra, Vesta in Gemini, Chariklo in Aquarius. We have a lot of Earth (practicality, physical resources): Mercury, Mars & Pallas in Virgo, Jupiter & Uranus in Taurus, Pluto in Capricorn. What we don’t have is water. We are all wound up with no place to go…

This chart reminds me of my own, frankly…lest you think that we will be emotionless. Am I emotionless? Ha! And neither will the collective be without emotion.  But we do lack a good vehicle for expressing those emotions. The planets  we have in water right now are Neptune and Saturn…in Pisces. And while they are far apart in degrees, in my opinion their dual presence does change the energy.  Saturn likes control. Have you ever tried to control water? A handyman once told me that he’d rather work with electricity any day over water. Electricity is predictable and follows a known path.  Whereas water will find every tiny leak along the way and usually soak you.  Water, like emotions, likes to be in motion. Attempts to stop that motion usually result in some kind of mess. So Saturn is going to be frustrated in Pisces, although on a global scale, it’s fascinating to see his influence. You can read about it here:   I have an awful lot of friends who are giving up alcohol, and religion sure is in the mix a lot these days!

Anyway, Neptune rules Pisces so this is his home turf.  Saturn is like the compliance expert or QC agent that is visiting from out of town. This is an odd couple if there ever was one! Saturn is not much fun at this party.  Pisces is the sign we would naturally lean into for inspiration, imagination, fantasy, poetry, song…but noooo. Saturn is all “we need to work”, and “imagination should have purpose”, and “do you even have goals?”  bleh.

For funsies, Imagine this scenario is a Drag Club. Neptune might be at the front door, but Saturn is the bartender. So your drinks are totally going to be watered down, and whistling at the performers is discouraged -  Applause only please. Or reverse that: Neptune is at the bar but Saturn is at the door. The drinks might be a’flowin’, but is Saturn letting anyone in? The performers are hammered, the club is too full to care about a show…

You get the idea…odd couple, conflicting energy. Further to that point is a little aspect between Neptune and the centaur asteroid, Elatus.  Elatus is a pal of Chiron, and you can read about him in this blog post from April this year:

Wednesday’s Neptune quincunx Elatus is frustrated or misdirected inspiration. An adjustment must be made.  We might even be suffering from our own bullshit…so…check your socks.  (I’m not really sure what that should mean, it just came to me. It sounds like something a Grandpa would say “Well son, you need to check your socks, because that is some bullshit!”)

Thursday Mars Square Vesta is about ambition vs. service, and Jupiter trine Pallas is about natural leadership.  Friday Mars is quincunx Chiron - you have courage and strength, but you have to take a look at your own strengths and weaknesses to be effective, and that takes real courage. Fuck, I'm exhausted just pondering this.

Saturday is a bunch of energy around service, purpose and mission and plfffft.  Saturday might be a good night to stay in and rest, because on Sunday we FINALLY get some Sun conjunct Venus action, and that is great for socializing and experiencing affection and pleasure. Fuck! It took all week to get here!

If lack of appropriate means to express our feelings (we need water!) is the problem, and our odd couple in Pisces ain’t helpin’ too much, let’s lean into that opposite house for solutions & outlet for our inspiration. I think Chiron & Elatus both are  surprising keys this week too (and they are in opposite signs offering some balance in the healing.  Here’s a fake conversation between them -

Chiron and Elatus walk into The Drag Club.  At the bar, Chiron starts complaining about his knee pain.  Elatus, with a gaping hole in his arm, is like “what’s the big deal?”

Chiron says “dude you need healing too”.

Elatus says “eh, healing is bullshit.  What we need is inspiration. I’m going to write an inspirational speech to help you.”

“Talk about bullshit!  How is an eloquent speech going to help my aching knee?”

“Holy Zeus you’re a pain in my arm! I need a drink.  Do these taste watered down to you?”

and so forth and so on.

BitchScopes this week will look  to see where we are underestimating our own strength in regards to problem solving, and where we might find inspiration in a desert. And finally, Leo is a juicy point for us all right now. It holds up a mirror so we can see that the gift is sometimes figuring out why we have shit in our socks (due to Elatus bullshitting us, in case you didn't get the joke).

*💩 🧦 Um, I guess our manicure color should be brown...

BitchStrology for the week of July 31- August 6th - Full Moon & Lion's Gate Healing Opportunities!

Astrological Summary of the Week Ahead
Ok Band of Bitches…hey, maybe I should collectively refer to y’all as BOB. Oh wait, that’s a slang term for a vibrator. Nevermind. CUT! ahem...
Hey Bitches! We have a great week ahead! We have 2 Full Moons in August, bookending the month. The first of them is this Tuesday, in Aquarius, and will illuminate our healing process. We are also in the Lion’s Gate portal right now. And Mercury will enter his shadow phase this week. WTF does all of that mean? Well I’m glad you asked!

Monday the moon conjuncts Pluto which can lead to some intense emotions. That aspect is still active on Tuesday, influencing the Full Moon. That seems apropos, because Tuesday we start out with Mercury quincunx the Moon. This is an indicator that emotions will rule, not logic. But that intense emotional energy breaks up and a few hours later we have the Full Moon in Aquarius at 11:32AM Pacific / 2:32PM Eastern. This is the Moon in Aquarius, directly opposite the Sun in Leo. Aquarius is eccentric, cerebral and detached, and Leo is expressive, flamboyant and passionate. Full Moons are for releasing energy, situations, people and most importantly, emotions, that are not doing us any good. This is old energy that needs to be scrubbed off. This moon in particular is a great one for an overall detox of anything that doesn’t align with you any more. Aquarius is intellectual energy (which also helps offset the emotionality of the full moon), so what are the thoughts and beliefs that you could let go of? What shitty self talk do you catch yourself engaging in that you should stop? Aquarius and Uranus (which rules Aquarius) are future oriented energies. What are your beliefs about your personal future? Are you dreaming big enough? Are you thinking broadly enough? What thought processes are holding you back? I highly recommend journaling these ideas out, and then write down their antidote - an affirmation that expresses the opposite. This full moon is also conjunct Chariklo. I have talked about her before, but in short, she is Chiron’s wife. Chiron is the “wounded healer” that shows us where our innate, lifetime wound is. It is from that pain and healing that we derive our greatest strength. Chariklo is also a healer, but is more of a Medicine Woman. She guides us to the healing and is a great source of compassion, particularly for self. Chariklo is in a loose sextile with Chiron right now, and they will continue to be within orb of each other in this aspect for years. Sextiles provide “opportunity” for something…this sextile provides us an opportunity to heal, to find healing both within the self and outside of self, and to heal our identity in some way as well. Here are the other aspects Chiron and Chariklo have this week (which I probably wouldn’t mention but for their interaction with Venus, and the Lion’s Gate): Chiron in loose trine with Lion’s Gate, Chariklo opposite Venus Retrograde, Chariklo conjunct (almost full) moon. Having this Full Moon conjunct Chariklo is another indicator that we are releasing, detoxing and healing. Into Wednesday, the Moon is also opposite Venus retrograde…yet ANOTHER indicator for self care! Make sure you value yourself and that your damn self knows she/he is WORTHY! Thursday the Sun lines up opposite of Chariklo, so our compassion could meet with some frustration or literal opposition. That same day, Pluto squares the Lunar Nodes again (read last week’s blog), indicating that our goals are out of alignment with who we are in some way. And then Mercury enters his shadow in Virgo. Mercury will retrograde in Virgo from 8/23-9/15, and the shadow period can offer clues as to what kind of fuckery Mercury will get up to. (I will definitely cover this in the near future.)  I have to give you a heads up about the Lion’s Gate Portal. It is exact on Tuesday August 8th, but the energy is active and open now. The Lion’s Gate is the period of time where Sirius, said to be our Spiritual Sun, separates from the Sun enough to come into view. Sirius is the brightest star in our sky. Ancient cultures worshipped Sirius. His return to the morning sky was the mark of a new year and the beginning of the farming season. This is a powerful energy that can offer healing, heightened vibrations, and energy that helps us with our evolution. This is also a fantastic time to manifest! Most of the time, the time around a Full Moon is best utilized for releasing and recognizing the fruition of previous hopes, dreams, goals and intentions. But the 8/8 portal is one of my favorite times of the spiritual year. The number 8 is a number of abundance, eternity, and material wealth. Scorpio, a water sign (water signs are emotional) is the 8th sign and rules the 8th house. It is the middle of the 3 water signs, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, and is the bridge between the emotional (Cancer) and the Spiritual (Pisces). The 8th house lies on the “money axis”, but also rules power, transformation, passion, intimacy, and sexual energy. The best way to experience this is to find and lean into your Leo energy. Venus is retrograde there right now as well, reminding us for the umpteenth time that we are worthy of our biggest and boldest dreams for ourselves! Gratitude is another beautiful practice for this coming week. Think beyond the usual, and go deep. So this week’s BitchScopes I will highlight where the full moon hits your chart, how to lean into your Leo energy and utilize the Lion’s Gate, and what area of your life you might want to focus your healing intentions on. This is a doozy of a week, but in the best way. There is huge emotional healing potential here. The area of your life that needs healing is probably the area that is from imagining, and thereby reaching, your greatest dreams! (I have a question for you guys - when I write, I include the houses and planets responsible for the energy that I’m discussing. Is that confusing? Too much info? Or do you like it? Because I could certainly write these without all that, but for some reason I assumed that everyone is like me and wants to know the “how” and “why” of the “what”. Please let me know - kelly@thebitchwhisperer.me. Thx! )

BitchStrology for the last week of July (?!) - Pluto Square the Lunar Nodes

Hey Bitches! If my ability to write scopes is any indication of the coming week’s energy, it might be challenging to get anything done. Maybe it’s an empath thing, maybe it’s Maybelline…err, I mean, just me.

This week is colored in large part by Pluto’s repeated square to the Lunar nodes, Mercury’s interaction with the goddesses, and Venus, in general. So let’s see what I can uncover, with great force and focus and grit and determination….hahaha

Monday Venus trines the North Node, which is a fantastic way to start the week. Sidenote: I got some minor shade recently for not starting my horoscope week on a Sunday. Really? Monday is such an American way. What are your thoughts?

Anyway, Venus…North Node…this transit attracts overall goodness into our path. Hal-le-fuckin’-lu-jah!

Tuesday Pluto squares off with the lunar nodes. Pluto has done this at least one other time this month, which I may not have focused on, and will continue to into September. So let’s discuss what Pluto is…

Personally Pluto is a power planet and leads us into our personal evolution via transformations. I tried to leave out the word “destruction” but it applies. Mini and constant destructions are part of life, nature, death…it’s a fact, and Pluto is in charge of that shit. Collectively Pluto is a planet of transformation at any cost, burn down the plutocracy, the patriarchy, the whole fucking thing. Rotten branch? Destroy the whole tree! You get the idea. Scorched Earth.

But Pluto’s interaction with the nodes is not that awful or dramatic, so put away your vodka. Or don’t. Bitch, you do you. Anyway, these transits can expose parts of our proposed journey/goals/plans that no longer align with who we are. Why don’t they align? Because we are constantly changing. Tiny parts of ourselves are constantly dying and being transformed into something else. That nasty breakup didn’t leave you the same way it found you. That job changed you. Parts of your ego have died. Parts of your trauma have died. Parts of your hope have died. You get the idea. This is all okay! Hell, your skin cells are dying and turning over constantly so that you can have fresh skin. It’s not gross or morbid…it’s the process of living and dying at the same time.

So think of Pluto as the god of exfoliation. We must scrub off the old stuff to get to the new stuff. If you’ve hung on to something too long, there might be like…gangrene and stuff. And then the transformation is more dramatic. So our constantly evolving souls require maintenance and recalibration. Pluto does that. And because he is very active and retrograde right now, it is scrubbing season. Like cuffing season, only…not at all like that. Hahaha

We also get the pleasure of watching politicians, billionaires and other “elites” fall from grace. Yaay. Errr, I mean…awwww.

Friday the sun forms a quincunx with Saturn, which is what you want to do vs what you have to do …desire vs. duty. That same day Mercury enters Virgo, which imparts reason, precision, and attention to detail to our thinking. It also makes us wittier*, smarter, and generally awesome (ask any Gemini), as Mercury is “exalted” in Virgo.

*I actually stopped writing here to Google “wittier or more witty” because I am a Gemini rising. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!

Saturday Uranus squares up with Lilith, and this aspect is just straight up rebellion & feminist uprising and I can’t fucking wait! What are you wearing to the Red Robe Rebellion** ?

** reference to Hand Maid’s Tale.

So I’m glad we’re at the Lilith point of the discussion. Let’s discuss goddess activities!

Mercury has conversations with Venus, Eris and Lilith this week. Coincidence? I think not! Mercury will help us to give a  voice to the parts of ourselves (and our society) that we have rejected. Eris is pretty pissy and vengeful, as a rule, but Lilith is a bit more righteous anger. Mercury and Venus is the most civilized of these aspects, focusing on receiving love, feeling appreciated and valued, and encouraging interpersonal interactions, which we need a whole lot more of in this town…er, society…errr…planet? In fact, I would challenge content creators to NOT look at your metrics or analytics, don’t look at the performance of your reel or your post, don’t look at any comments on your posts. Just put out what makes you feel good about what you’re doing (that is where value springs from) that’s it! And I would suggest that all of us try to have face to face interactions where you can, even if it is just at the coffee place. I think these things are what the world needs a lot more of right now! And that’s coming from a curmudgeony Aquarius 8th house troll under the bridge goddess Kali type person!

So, seriously…what are we bringing to the Red Robe meeting? ;) Potluck? Put me down for Vodka and Primordial Rage Salad.

Look at me, finishing the Bitchstrology summary *wipes blood, sweat, and tears off the keyboard* We can do hard things!

This week’s scopes look at the Pluto square to the lunar nodes, and how you can ground yourself using the signs.
