BitchScopes for July 13-20

My most glittery apologies for the absence of BitchScopes last week.  I was stuck in bed with a pinched nerve in my back.  If you read my last BitchScope intro, I was talking about the eclipse closing out old chapters, shelving old stories, and big, significant healings from the past.  This back injury definitely has an emotional component to it. (I talked about it on BitchSplaining with Crisann last week)  I just did not have the ability to sit at my desk or even to focus on writing for the several hours that it requires.  But I’m back, no pun intended.  I saw a Doctor I really liked (which is unusual) and got some relief.   So this week we are focusing on the transits from 7/13-7/19.  However, on 7/20 we have a very significant lunation to discuss and I don’t want to talk about it after the fact, so I’m including it in this week’s scopes.   We have a double new moon. Some are calling this a “Black Moon”, but, similar to a Blue Mo...

Message for the week of July 6th

I hope you’ll forgive the absence of BitchScopes this week.  I am sidelined with a gnarly back injury and I could not will myself to sit at the computer for hours.   In place of scopes I’ve pulled a couple cards from my two decks    My second deck, Resistance is Futile, speaks to the emotions we repress.  Repressed emotions will often express (involuntarily) as anger.  Anger is the easiest and basest emotion to grab on to.  Sometimes what comes out as anger is actually fear or sadness (or grief)  One of these cards talks about fear being oppressive and holding us down, and back.  The other card speaks to the fact that even during times when you feel like crap, even if you’re going through difficult transitions and painful transformations, you are still being blessed. You are still fabulous. The fact that you are going through a transformation makes you MORE fabulous!  When we go through difficulties, it’s important that we allow ou...

Eclipse Insights

Well this week there are a couple things to discuss, but the big focus is the Lunar Eclipse on Saturday July 4th  (late the 4th and very early the 5th in some places).  This Full Moon is in Capricorn, opposite the Sun in Cancer. This lunation asks us about how we can have the harmonious home life we all crave, shedding light on the tension between nurturing ourselves and our responsibility to others.  One way of looking at at this (archetypally and admittedly gender normatively) is the difference between how a mother tends to her family and how a father tends to his family. Do success and money bring ease and joy, or do ease and joy help manifest money and abundance? This eclipse is also an emotional reset. This moon opposes Mercury, which means expressing your feelings is important during this time. The trouble may be that Mercury is also retrograde, so accessing and making sense of those feelings could be a little more difficult than usual. To help gather your though...

Eyes on your own paper!

BitchScopes for June 22-28 Well Venus is direct this week, but we are still neck deep in retrograde season. Some tension that has lingered in relationships for the last few weeks might suddenly just be smoothed over. Or you might suddenly have the nerve to deal with it. But we are in a very mixed energy right now, so you should examine and reexamine your feelings and what you say before you say it. Because you may think your ass is on fire, and be ready to dial 911, only to find out later that you just have a sunburn, or wore the wrong pants. Your judgement is clouded and you’re likely to be a little over reactive. Its best to pull back, focus on your personal goals, and observe yourself (and others) carefully. Take stock of your feelings and be prudent in what you say and to whom this week. Having said that, however, do talk to your people, your loved ones, your friends. Enjoy some laughs, and some art, and some summer time. Don’t isolate yourself too much. If you feel particul...

Claws up, its Crab Season

Image
Last week was Neptune-y, this week is very Cancer-y and sensitive. Mercury goes retrograde in cancer, the sun enters Cancer, and there’s a solar eclipse in Cancer.  Eek! However in the middle of the week we do have a glimmer of respite with some Mars transits that will energize and motivate you...that is if you can be motivated.  it might be an uphill battle because we are likely to feel tender and emotional and not very logical, for the most part. June 18th : Mercury retrograde in Cancer (until july 12th) Our thoughts are coloured by our emotions. It is very difficult to be objective, during this transit.  we are collectively in deep introspection now (which is obvious when you watch the news or look at social media) because we have 5 planets retrograde. June 18th: Mars sextile Pluto - drive and determination June 19th : Sun conjunct North Node - what we desire, also desires us. our annual opportunity to realign to our higher callings. June 20th : Mars sexti...

A call to Compassion - BitchScopes for the week of June 8th

Image
Neptune is King this week. These are just a couple of the transits this week, there’s always infinite numbers of aspects going on and everyone’s chart is different. But this week, it’s clear who is in charge, and that it will be a mushy time. June 11th: Sun in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces Sun square Neptune transit has a draining and “lazy-fying” effect. Motivation may be scarce. Depression and feelings of insecurity are possible. Things, events or people can cause confusion and disappointment. Honesty in an over the top way is well advised right now. June 13th: Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces Mars is awkward here, and may get a little romance-drunk. That’s not a super effective mood for the warrior planet. Your desire for spirituality could be activated. More desire to chase your dreams is possible as well. Watch for delusion and escapist tendencies which could have consequences (drunk driving, unsafe sex etc). Neptune rules the 12th house and the sign of Pisces. In the ...

BitchScopes for June 1-7

Image
BitchScopes for the Week of June 1 This week I think we need to make room for tension, aggression, and anger. On some level this will show up whether we make room for it or not. But we NEED to create some allowance now. Anger is a healthy emotion when you allow yourself to experience it in context. As I write this, protests and riots in Minnesota over the murder of George Floyd rage out of control. A friend near there said the National Guard was setting up downtown. Another friend who works for a large tech corporation there said her company has promoted large conference calls for employees to just share their thoughts and feelings. We have to do that now. And that means we have to hold space for people to be in pain and to be angry. It’s uncomfortable AF. We must face ourselves. The full moon this week is also an Eclipse. It’s the first of a new set of eclipses in Gemini/Sagittarius. This is not going to be a gentle or sweet full moon. This is going to continue to h...

Help Help I'm bein' repressed!

Before I say what I sat down to say, some background info. I have been in the corporate world since I was 15. Non stop. The only time I wasn't working was when I had babies, and I took my whopping 8 weeks off, and when I lost my job in 2009 with everyone else. I have a degree in Small Business Management, and have worked in mom and pops, huge corps, and everything in between. I have worked in oil and gas, accounting, marketing, administrative, legal, communication, the arts, retail, wholesale, trucking, international trading, financial, and agricultural services. That just about spans the gamut of the facets of business. I have been an artistic person for ever. And artsy people don't always mix well with the corporate world. I have been very successful doing so, thanks in part to my die-hard work ethic, chart full of Capricorn, and my experiences as a divorced/single mom supporting her kids. I have HAD to bite my tongue so friggin much over the years. And because I started...

Action flows where thoughts go... This week, where your mind goes, your actions will follow, and your actions can lead to rapid changes. So be mindful of your thoughts and manifest the hell out of this time. This week we also may be catching up on things we’ve put off, and remembering goals that got buried. Most of us will be feeling ourselves pretty strongly, and confidence is in the air. Clarity is a word that is mentioned more than once in this week’s scopes. Be an information sponge and soak it all up, but don’t show your hand just yet. The exception to that would be in your closest relationships, which will benefit greatly from your attention this week. Impulse is the word of the week. Follow your impulses, and beware of impulsivity at the same time. Capiche? May 25 Mars sextile Uranus - craving for excitement, rapid changes May 28 Mercury enters Cancer - thoughts and feelings go deeper ARIES: While you’re usually the King or Queen of DO-ing, this week you need to feel,...

BitchScopes for the week of May 18th

BitchScopes for 5/18 - 24 Last week 3 planets stationed retrograde, joining the already retrograde Pluto. In June, Mercury and Neptune retrograde, so it’s just a retro party summer! Bell bottoms and frosted eye shadow anyone? Ok that’s not necessary. But we will be in review, re-evaluate and re-adjust mode for many weeks to come. Maybe that’s why summers are vacation time...because we are not quite full speed ahead in life matters. And that's good.  Even though life feels like it is on pause due to the pandemic, things are slowly unfurling from hibernation. This week the Sun enters Gemini, which, to me is the epitome of the summer vibe. But life these days is so strange and socializing is not what it was even a few months ago. Some of life is “re-opening”, but I suspect even that will be re-examined this summer. Regardless, it is so important, especially in this season, to connect with the people we love. If you can see them in person, great. If you can’t, make an effort...

BitchScopes for May 11-17 - We're still movin'

Holy moly! Could there be more going on this week? At first glance it looks overwhelming, but most of this activity is behind the scenes for now. Spring and Summer are always “retrograde season” and this year is no exception. This week 3 planets station retrograde, giving us plenty to work on inside ourselves and our societies. Venus is likely to be the most intense, because it retrogrades less frequently. But all the same, there’s nothing to really be afraid of or dread...as usual it’s just an opportunity for awareness. Leaving the retrogrades aside for the time being, this week has good energy, productivity and focus. It is a “mental” kind of week. Not in a “whackjob” kind of way, but in air-y, thinking, mental processing kind of way. My caveat for this week and the next few weeks would be to watch for impulsivity, over reaction, and frustration because Mars in Pisces is likely to feel bajiggity and a couple of these retrogrades ask for thoughtful actions as well. We'...
