There are SIX quincunxes this week. I find the quincunx aspect very interesting, but after having a DOZEN of them in August, and having felt the sting of their awkward adjustment energy, I’m over it. Next! More trines please! There are 5 more  quincunxes  in the remainder of September, making at least 11, and possibly making September at least somewhat similar to August (shit!) and some degree of uncomfortable... Again. Still. As usual. Ad nauseum. Fuck. I will say that I feel that  the slates were mostly cleared in August and that in September we begin to start something from scratch.  The New Moon in Virgo is a great opportunity for us to set intentions for creating and inviting things in our lives that we care about, activities that matter to us, and relationships that serve us better than the ones we left behind in August. Well we have another heavy hitting week in the sky. I can’t remember a time when we didn’t. I honestly try to keep it light and hopeful around here, but the planets don’t lie. I am, however, an eternal optimist, and I do believe that difficult times give way to better times. The chaos that we feel individually is happening globally and to the whole collective. That is no consolation, really, but the point is, there are massive shifts happening and it's uncomfortable, but ultimately for our benefit. This week, the stand out event to me is Pluto (in Capricorn) square Eris (in Aries). Eris has been stirring things up since her discovery and addition to our collective consciousness in 2003. DejaVu?   In July we had a full moon in Aquarius, and this month we have another. There’s something about Aquary..us (its a reference to “there’s something about Mary”) - we have to pay attention to this. Aquarius rules technology, the future, change, doing things differently, freedom, community, humanitarianism and innovation. Jupiter is conjunct this moon, so whatever you (we) are releasing, it could be pretty obvious. Let’s talk about change… What hasn’t changed for all of us in the last 2 years? Life is very different. Society is changed. Interactions are altered. Jobs are evolving. We are being forced to do things in a new way. We aren’t particularly happy about most of it, but we have ALL been swept into these changes. The fact that this pandemic...this seemingly unending, ridiculous, awful, scary pandemic...is global is not to be ignored. This isn’t just the USA having to do something new, or any one country. It’s a week of a bizarre number of quincunxes. There are 6 of these in this week’s aspects. August in general has a bunch of them. The Quincunx is awkward and requires adjustment to be resolved. That adjustment is not usually one we really like or are happy to make. It isn’t so much that anything here is painful, its just awkward and “Well shit. That’s not how I thought that was gonna go.” There isn’t a lot of soft or light hearted energy this week, so it's best to bring the softness to the table yourself. Try not to pick fights, be aware of your insecurities, be a good listener and try to be a team player. The New Moon we just had on the 8th is already doing its work to bring in what you’ve been manifesting (The Lion’s Gate made is very potent!), and that means adjustments will need to be made to make those manifestations fit. This week has the potential to be pretty bajiggity. If you’re new here, “bajiggity” is a spirit word (according to me) meaning uneasy, nervous, anxious. Uranus has a strong influence all week, which can bring physical anxiety, as well as mental monkey mind. Without question the biggest day of the week is Sunday the 8th. There is a New Moon in Leo, but it is also aspected by Uranus, AND takes place during the “Lions Gate Portal”. The Lions Gate Portal marks the rising of the star Sirius. Sirius is called our “spiritual sun”. With the rising of this star, a portal opens for manifesting and receiving information from a higher vibration. Realizations and ascensions can take place around this time.This is a period of high creativity and openness. There’s an awful lot of Mercury afoot. Mostly our ability to communicate effectively is enhanced this week. But external influences may cause a shift in how we communicate. In other words, you might get pissed off and your mouth may let them know about it. In this case, your tongue can be a pretty sharp sword. Sometimes that’s a good thing. But be careful how and with whom you express yourself. Relationships may feel a little wonky and slightly out of sync. It will pass. Another reason to keep your words in check. Well, the bitches are busy this week, kids! And by “bitches”, I mean the goddesses (over half the many transits this week involve the asteroids).. Vesta fans the flames of our professional or vocational passions, Lilith creates sparks of rebellion by making several strong aspects, and Eris is there to just sprinkle some gasoline on the fire. Then there’s the full moon to illuminate any irritations we might be covering. But don’t fret! In between irritations and annoyances, we do get an injection of fun. The sun moves into Leo this week, reminding us the importance of play and creativity. Clients often tell me that they are not creative when I suggest the need for an outlet. But it isn’t just about scrapbooking, painting, knitting and decorating. Creativity can come via gardening, cooking, sex, or just laughter and joyful movement.
